I was honored to have met Dolores Huerta, and I am heartbroken by her passing. Her legacy will continue to inspire generations of Latinos and Americans to fight for positive change and push our nation toward progress. Her courage, work, and story are forever woven into the fabric of America.

❌$4,700: That’s how much extra the average Oregon family has paid for essentials under Trump. ❌$2 billion: That’s how much Trump pocketed during the first year of his presidency alone. Trump’s economy is working for his and his billionaire buddies' families, not yours.

📣 More than ONE MILLION Americans made it loud and clear that we must save the Roadless Rule to protect our public lands NOW. On a hike to Mirror Lake with Sierra Club, we talked about what’s at stake if Trump rips protections away from our lands, and how I’m working to safeguard them for good❗️

Mass timber is strong, engineered wood that builds faster, lowers construction costs, and cuts carbon. It’s how PDX built its amazing new terminal! My new bipartisan bill would expand mass timber production — creating good-paying jobs and building more housing right in our #OR06 backyard.

Vice Chair @salinas.house.gov knows how critical the 988 lifeline has been, including for young LGBTQI+ people in crisis. When Trump shut down specialized services for those youth, Rep. Salinas led the call to the House Appropriations Committee to ensure these services continued to be funded.

The average family health plan now costs over $28,000 a year, with workers paying nearly $7,500 out of their own paychecks. Republicans chose to make cuts to health care and do nothing to rein in Trump while he drives prices up. How are families expected to keep up with this?

Every child deserves the chance to find their voice. I toured Parkwood Clinic in Tualatin, which offers pediatric speech, language, & feeding therapy so children can communicate & build confidence. They told me how H.R. 1’s Medicaid cuts are putting that care at risk. We can’t let that happen.

The most Oregon way to celebrate fall? Paddling a giant pumpkin across a lake dressed in full costume! 🎃🚣‍♀️ I had a blast cheering on the paddlers at Tualatin’s famous West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who made it such a great day!

Oregon’s timber heritage stretches back generations. Now, mass timber is taking that legacy to new heights. I visited Timberlab in Portland to introduce my new bill to grow our mass timber industry, which means more homes for working families and more good jobs in rural communities.

Happy Filipino American History Month! We honor the history and heritage of #OR06's Filipino community and celebrate their tremendous contributions to our nation. As your Congresswoman, I will continue to uplift the stories and voices of Filipinos and all Oregonians.

This Filipino American History Month, we honor Filipino Americans’ invaluable contributions to our country since their first recorded arrival in Morro Bay in 1587. Together, let’s celebrate the generations of Filipino Americans whose leadership and culture enriches our nation.

Q: Are you concerned about the latest inflation number? Trump: No, I love it. The numbers were great. I love the inflation.

As a mother, I’m heartbroken by the shooting at Silver Rail Elementary. Our schools should be safe places for children to learn and thrive, not places where students, teachers, and staff fear for their lives. I’m thinking of the entire Bend community during this unimaginably difficult time.
