Ignorance means not knowing things and this asshole is saying Ken who won Jeopardy 74 times in a row is ignorant. I hope they keep getting dunked on all day.

This post is unavailable.

I’ll take the L on this one. It’s the default HTML behavior.

> Rails' implicit type="submit" I had no idea this was rails specific behavior. Reason number 7,402 that Rails sucks ass

Rails is just shit...even the parts I like are shit. Why did ViewCompents turn counter an index, when there's already an iterator that has an index. Just drop it at that point. So dumb.

I really don't enjoy coding in Rails these days, but working with ActiveAdmin and Avo are just pure pain. The DSLs are limiting and trying to find documentation is pain because they change so much version to version...

Even claude doesn't know what to do "The custom-controls DSL lives in avo-advanced, which isn't installed here (only avo-pro). The clean, supported path is a card — render_cards_component runs at the top of every index. Let me check the card API"

I mean c'mon: "This drops a copy of the component + template into your app. Open the .html.erb, find where it renders the table/pagination, and drop your link_to markup below it. Wire it up via self.components on the resource:"

I just don't understand what the value prop is here. If I want to add a link from one page to another I should be able to do that without all these hoops to jump through

I didn’t know what to expect from a collab between Action Bronson, Yachty and Paul Wall. I’ll say it’s growing on me especially Paul Wall’s voice and after watching the video I have to say he looks great!

incredibly based minnesota

Ground News @groundnews.bsky.social

Minnesota has become the first state to ban prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket. ground.news/article/e165...

I hate Rails and Rails developers so much these days. I can't think of any dev community that is completely fine with, and I'll be generous here, mediocrity. Like, does this commenter even have the slightest clue how stimulus fucking works??

Sometimes I feel kinda smart. Today for example I’m able to enjoy my personal music collection on a walk nowhere near my home WiFi.

Why has no-one told me about the Studio One STORE?

Bronx Cheerleader@bronxcheerleader.bsky.social

Enjoying this holiday Monday with a new arrival direct from the Studio One store. Been after this one for years. Classic.

Can’t forget about Liquidator Brunt too

Melissa Gira Grant@melissagiragrant.com

Akin to “attorneys general” being the correct plural form of a state’s highest law enforcement role, I argue we should refer to the actor who plays many Weyouns et al as “Jeffreys Combs.”

Yet we can't fucking pay the TSA. Clown ass government

quite literally the fun police

CNN@cnn.com

Officers responding to a planned snowball fight in Washington Square Park were struck by members of the crowd. The NYPD commissioner described the incident as "illegal" and said authorities are investigating.

Ask not what your country can do for you, but why do we not have a grand ballroom at the white house?

Matt Novak@paleofuture.bsky.social

Trump shares a rendering of the “much anticipated White House Ballroom - The Greatest of its kind ever built!”

I used the think Cher was corny as hell, but I've gained wisdom in my later years, and I can confidently say that Cher fucking rules.

Did Pharrell just say "the" Clipse? I feel vindicated every time I would say it that way and some nerd would be like "erm, it's just 'Clipse'"

If only there was a law to protect due process. That would stop them!

Simon Rosenberg@simonwdc.bsky.social

While this is a good start, I think there needs to be something in the new law about ICE not targeting legal immigrants without criminal records, and making clear what the mission is. We have to attack the outrageous fiction that Trump-Miller are targeting only criminal migrants.

The inclusion of “warrants for arrests” is so telling here. We know you don’t give a shit about the 4th amendment but could you pretty please and try??! Fucking losers

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told: DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big) CBP stays at border warrants for arrests IDs, bodycams ICE out of churches, schools "That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod: newrepublic.com/article/2057...

The Legal Eagle you tubers suggested this whole operation could be seen as an open criminal conspiracy and I can’t unsee it. Criminals don’t care if you get upset at their behavior. They only care about enforcement and or repercussions. Currently there are none.

Laurie Hertzel@lhertzel.bsky.social

One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, —and then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.
