This one really hit home for me. I was initially hesitant to call Trump a fascist. Then I embraced it because of his "othering" because of his "nationalism" but now that I have a different understanding of fascism and what Trumpism is I have a deeper fear because I have a deeper understanding.

Never in my most cynical dreams did I imagine so many people willing to sell out their own country for money, attention, clout, out of spite, ignorance or hate. That will remain the most heartbreaking part of this ordeal. America is such a beautiful idea. We are becoming unworthy of it.
