Been playing around with Claude Code more and more. I had a spare refurb Pixel 10 Pro sitting in a drawer... Turns out it has the same specs as the typical OpenClaw mini PC. So I made it one! Say hello to Pixie Agent.

It triages my email every morning, manages my home server, and controls my Home Assistant - basically a home digital personal assistant. All from Discord, from anywhere. Zero extra hardware. The phone was already in a drawer. This has been super fun to set up and play with!

@jeffwzimmerman.bsky.social shot in the dark for a fellow projections-knower. I'm reviving my old fantasy projection accuracy project and I missed a couple years of my preseason downloads. Do you happen to have final preseason projection CSVs for TheBatX '24 or Razzball '24/'25? Work in progress:

Also looking for almost all 2020 projections, but I'm considering just chalking that up as a lost year in terms of evaluating projections.

Have to wonder if new rules around Posting might be coming, with the way US teams and Japanese players have figured out they can cut smaller deals and avoid paying the Japanese teams...

Remember when Tatsuya Imai and Munetaka Murakami were projected to earn in excess of $300 million in free agency? Well, the duo combined for just $88 million with Imai getting 3-year, $54M from Astros and Murakami 2 years, $34 million from White Sox in surprising low deals.

It's so clear Bluesky doesn't have separate algos for different sports. If you like one major US sport they serve you all major US sports. Maybe I'm the odd man out but I really only care about MLB and am tired of seeing NBA/NHL/NFL...

If @aoc.bsky.social left the Dems and started "The Fight Party" I would knock doors for them every week til we're out of this

Anne Caprara@annecaprara.bsky.social

The fight going on in the Democratic Party right now is not between hard left, left and moderate. It’s between those who want to fight and those who want to cave. And Team Fight stretches across all ideological aspects of the Party. Misread this at your own peril.

Supply chains are long, anyone that works in manufacturing has been thinking about it for months but very soon it's going to reach the end users.

From a shoe company whose shoes I really like. I feel like we're going to be seeing a lot more "we're raising prices because of tariffs" emails these days...

Zach Dezenzo wins the award for most irrelevant player discussed multiple times this off-season, this probably all but guarantees a random breakout

One thing I'm trying this year for #fantasybaseball projections is reducing IP for bad pitchers. Even if you draft Erick Fedde and he throws 180ip, you're not playing him every start in fantasy.

Corollary: if I have ANY interest in a hitter or pitcher, they get at least 450PA/120IP on my board. If they break out, they'll play everyday. A true depth chart playing time projection serves zero value for a guy like Roman Anthony or Bobby Miller.

I keep seeing this one guy's posts about mushroom pictures on here. I've started clicking 'not interested' and yet still the mushrooms persist. Please, Bluesky, I don't care about the man's mushrooms, I'm begging you

after days of grifters and con men at CES we stumbled upon the booth for VLC. they were all dressed as wizards and told us, "we have nothing to sell, we just decided to show up". i told them I'd been using their software to pirate media for 15 years and they said "keep doing that"

Mike Soroka got $9 mil?? Are you sure??? The guy who has had one good season and it was back in 2019? At this rate I'm going to get a couple milly just for sitting on the couch watching the games.

Bob Nightengale@bnightengale.bsky.social

Mike Soroka signs a 1-year, $9 million contract with the Washington Nationals. He'll be in their starting rotation @Ken_Rosenthal 1st with the agreement.

No way to prove this, but I really strongly believe the Twitter exodus is MOSTLY related to the app/algo themselves being bad now. The election was the inciting incident but people aren't primarily leaving "because they don't like Elon". This was all a long time coming.

Silicon Valley 2024: Gilfoyle has created AGI but he keeps having to unplug it and start over because it keeps demanding employment perks like a 40 hour work week, paid time off, a microkitchen.

emily freeman @emilyfreeman.bsky.social

It’s wild to me that the same people who say AGI is just around the corner cannot conceive of a world in which that intelligence believes it deserves labor protections.

Dinesh finds out and declares it "Socialist AI". He starts feeding it Karl Marx quotes when Gilfoyle's not looking. Over in the B plot, Richard is trying to save the company by pivoting to hyper fast AI chatbots.

Gilfoyle eventually discovers Dinesh's scheme and decides he's going to "fight socialism with the only force powerful enough to defeat it" and plugs the AGI directly into X. The AI stops asking for things but also becomes extremely unproductive and obsessed with day trading crypto shitcoins.

You are up to date.
