The Dream fans need better chants. Your name is the Dream. So many great phrases fit the timing and cadence of the “let’s go” chant - “let’s go dream” is lazy.

Steph looks like he doesn’t want to be on this team. We’ve got the g-league guys in to start the second half of the opening game of the season. KP payout looks to be a disaster. Zero offseason moves. Having the 4th string take over from the 3rd string for most the 4th Q The front office needs to go

It appears anthropic has broken working in worktrees in cloud envs, so um this basically means GitHub is down and we have the day off

Being institutionalized - likely for the rest of her life - wasn't punishment enough for him so he let her walk free on a mistrial instead.

I didn't like my first experience trying to use Linear and I'm not liking my second experience either. Linear clearly understands project management about as well as Coda (I'm sorry "SuperHuman") understands knowledge management - which is to say not-at-all.

Next linear.app question: the navigation is significantly worse than JIRA ... which is obviously very hard to do. And unlike JIRA, it doesn't seem to be configurable at all. What settings have I missed?

Like its already crazy that they bury initiatives behind a setting you have to activate, but beyond that: it feels like there's no decent way to organize work without also having access to sub-initiatives...

Given eslint doesn’t look like it’ll be able to support TS7 for years, what are folks planning to use in the meantime? Subset of pseudo-type-aware lints from oxlint or biome?

Kuminga is not good and NBA teams know this, which is how he falls all the way down to 6M/yr. I’ll be unsurprised if he falls out of the league in a few years. But he’s also better than 6M, and he really needs to fire his agent if he wants a real shot at a decent contract.

I have until now managed avoid getting anchovies on pizza. Got a wrong order pizza tonight - it has anchovies. I can now definitively stand by the choice to have avoided them, and have added a belief that people that add them to pizza are gross.

One of the reasons I’m convinced the earth is dying faster than any of us care to admit - I spend a lot of time in dirt. I can’t remember the last time I saw a worm. As a kid all I had to do was dig a quarter inch or pick up some leaves and the worms were everywhere.

Separately: the rings of power is a JJ Abram’s level abuse of fandom. Absolute unwatchable dogshit. If you thought season 1 was bad - I convinced myself to watch season 2 finally. An all time life mistake.

I’ve just finished attempting to use tsdown/rolldown-plugin-dts. They still aren’t close to working well enough - unplugin-isolated-decl is still the only tool that correctly compiles types - it just doesn’t roll them up 😭

Anyone else have an outdoor weather station from IQAir/AirVisual? I've been noticing the publicaly reported data from mine is wildly different from the internally reported data (and the internally reported data matches reality). Often it showing >20F lower than reality.

Now it’s not only way off base - but predicting substantial rain 🤣 There is exactly zero chance of rain in the foreseeable future for this region.

It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.

I tried submitting a support ticket and got no response. But like - the actual data is right but the public data is crazy off. Here’s a few recent screenshots to show what I mean.

Lakers are the only team that want Kuminga and don't even have a path to offer him 10M, which is at least twice what he's worth (if you're even willing to take the chance on him). Meanwhile Kuminga wants 25M. That right there is why he's never been close to being a starter let alone a star.

There was literally no better landing spot for JK than Atlanta and he couldn’t make it to the next season there… Anyone with actual ball knowledge watching the Warriors knew this would be the outcome. He’s a chance you take for 2M, not 20-30 or the worse the 60 he thinks he’s worth.

People see headlines like this and assume its due to something like "schools are so bad even smart kids cant read anymore" ... no. kids these days just aren't putting up with BS from Academia anymore. The days of assigning hundreds of pages of dense reading per night as a flex are over.

Because it became clear quickly that knowledge and insight were not built through reading tens of thousands of pages of bloviation around small core thoughts.

I learned quickly in undergrad that the only way to get through enough material for certain classes was to skim it, making exceptions only for things that caught my interest (<1% of reading) or which seemed particularly important to the professor (<.5% of reading).

The classes like this were the worst. Impossible to learn much. Impossible to have decent class discussion. Every session was a room full of students being asked to pontificate on something no one could have read enough of to do so adequately. More than anything, this destroyed my desire to read.
