RunnerCast 2.4 will be ready for the iPhone Duo. It also has a new feature for everyone who can't afford a $3,000 phone: Travel! Add your vacation dates and city and the five-day will swap out the forecast for where you are and will instead show the weather where you'll be.

Coming soon: Travel Dates. Add your itinerary and RunnerCast will show the upcoming running weather forecast for the city you'll be in, not the city you're in now.

A new version of RunnerCast is currently in App Review (2.3.1). There aren't a ton of updates, but you'll see wind data in the hourly view so you can better plan the best time for your run and a few icons were updated throughout the app for consistency. Good runners love consistency.

RunnerCast 2.3.0 is in App Review. Biggest change is the addition of factors - you’ll see the specific conditions that will impact your run for better or worse.

Lock screen widgets have arrived, and I have to say, I find them delightful and useful. Add a countdown to your next race above the clock and a rectangular Run Now/Maybe Wait widget with current conditions (the ones that matter to a runner). Both require RunnerCast Crew which supports development.

Next on the todo list are lock screen widgets for run advice and event countdown. Pride theme and icons will be coming soon as well, plus some other small UI improvements. What else do you want to see in the app? #running #runsky

Apple Weather appears to be down globally. If you see a 503 or 504 error in RunnerCast, that's why. Apple Weather app and other apps that rely on Apple Weather are also down.

You are up to date.
