When republican legislators in Utah ordered a comprehensive review of gender-affirming care for trans kids, they got back a 1000-word tome that concluded: yes, gender-affirming care is good and safe. Then? They banned care anyway.

My daughter is really into Star Trek. So for her 11th birthday I got her some ship Lego models from minitrekmocs.com. These are so adorable I think she's going to love them. My favorite is the Bird of Prey. Of course I had to build them myself to make sure all the parts arrived from BrickLink.

Look I try not to doomsay or spread panic but this shit is truly and deeply Very Bad for every single trans person in America and unless everyone makes it their mission in life over the next few days to make sure that their reps know that shutting down the government is the correct option here.

I think I found an idea for my first godot project...

Inequality is not actually a requirement. It's a choice we're making. We built an exploitation culture that believes poverty is necessary because competition is the only form of self-esteem. So we've created a self-fulfilling prophecy & a paradigm built on inferiority-superiority complexes.

I've used my Leifheit aluminum ladder for years with a missing foot making it wobbly. Inspired by ShopTherapy chan on YT I designed a replacement foot for it and printed it in TPU. Made a little challenging as the aluminum tube wasn't a rectangle but a squoval.. (squircle?) instead. #3dprinting

I finally got around to assembling my Giant Classic Space Computer from Sean @cworthdynamics.bsky.social and it is just glorious. I had just about every blue/grey space set growing up. Now this is done maybe I can get around to the new Galaxy Explorer set I've had for 2+ years. Thanks Sean!

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all." Arthur C. Clarke

Conway nails it. When the Executive branch charged with enforcing the law chooses not to enforce or respect it the Constitution becomes just a piece of paper with no meaning. We are in a post Constitution time right now and there are only a few ways to stop it. www.reddit.com/r/law/commen...

The NTSB says it will no longer email news outlets or reporters with notifications of upcoming press conferences, including those on plane crashes in Washington and Philadelphia. Instead, all notifications will be made on X. We're filing a FOIA to find out more about the change in policy.

I generally take my snack pickles in a mug to keep the drips at bay. My family finds it amusing so I decided to get a special pickle mug made. The Rather Dapper pickle art is from SyMoyvin on DeviantArt.

Kids got a kick out of this giant wreath I made out of 3D printed super sized LEGO style tree branch parts. Was a fun little project!

My wife took the kids for a few days’ trip to see her family, and while I miss them, I am enjoying luxuriating in parking in the very middle of the garage.

I’ve finally deleted Facebook from my phone. I scrolled through dozens of posts just now from ads and suggested follows hiding as I went and did not see a single friend I follow. Really not sure what the point of that app is anymore.

I made Star Trek themed cutting board for a good friend and fellow #FOD recently. The board is maple and the accent and inlay are sapele (which I love for the shimmer) #woodworking #startrek #greatesttrek

When my trash bin isn’t full on trash day (my favorite day!) I feel like I’m not trying hard enough to get rid of stuff.

I recommend if you ever have the need to contact Dell support about a device it may be best to just drop it off at a donation or e-recycling center and get something else. I have many regrets about this monitor I got from them.

The amount of human suffering (or at least annoyance) that has been caused by Ikea's decision to put swivel wheels on the front AND back of their carts has to be immense. I would not be surprised if it was some sort of purposeful worldwide experiment on just how much a customer can put up with.

You are up to date.
