Just had the email through and... proud is an understatement. Can't believe its official, but there we are. Bluesky just confirmed it: I have the fittest followers on the platform. A-grade smokeshows left and right, up and down. Sensational work, you vision x

It's so funny seeing the press do a whole "But is the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street a good thing?" thing. Pedestriaisation ALWAYS works. Always. Bit of a bump when it switches and then, almost immediately, life/commerce roars into the fill the gaps left by diesel fumes. Love this for London

Just went and watched Digger I have absolutely no idea how anyone couldn't be awed by how good it is. An absolute masterpiece. What is the role of art? What is the role of art in a collapsing society? What makes a story truthful? Just staggeringly good

So, a month ago I married @sallyhodgkiss.bsky.social It was the greatest weekend of my life Ridiculously into this brilliant woman, my beautiful, delightful, funny wife. (Apologies this post isn't horrible. I know that's not how social media is meant to work. Yet here I am posting it anyway)

Anyway. Play this! brainmage.itch.io/i-will-stran... I promise it's funny! There is some of my very silliest writing in there! And it won an award! And it's free! AND I desperately need external validation to make anything I do feel worthwhile. Yes I am looking into therapy for that leave me alone

My dad fought in the war and he wasn't a racist. My late mother was a teenager and dedicated her life to helping refugees. My cousin is in her 80s and "fucking hates racists". You don't get a get out of racist jail free card simply for being old and having happened to have lived during a war.

Well said. How many of Tommy Robinson’s Sport’s Direct paramilitary division go and help or worship at the churches they claim they want to protect. It’s much easier to don a balaclava and shout at the RNLI. #HopeNotHate

Funny how both Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson echo Kremlin talking points about Russian Brexit meddling being a ‘lie’, exactly as they did a decade ago blaming the EU for Putin’s first invasion of Ukraine

Ballsy talk from a man whose only job is apparently 'Being a dickhead on camera for money'.

Jake Paul: "I get confused by the left, the protesters. Do they not have jobs? That's all they do is carry signs around while we're doing the work." (Note the lack of crowd response to this.)

So petty, the music industry continues to be the biggest threat to the music industry. No wonder no one risks music reviews/editorial on YouTube, what with Warner Chappell et al claiming karaoke snippets.

Cruise line video was removed by YouTube over truly the dumbest copyright strike. Obviously fighting it, it’ll be back up in a few weeks like nothing happened. This is not an ad for Nebula, but it is still available on Nebula: nebula.tv/videos/linds...

Have just finished this. I cannot recommend a book more, especially to men. Fellas, whether you're an avid reader or - more likely - haven't read a novel in ages, do yourself a favour and read this one. Of the moment, in the most extraordinary way.

The number of cases of cervical cancer reported in Scotland among women given the HPV vaccine at 12-13 years of age is now zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. Zero. www.bbc.com/news/article...

I went to see The Death of Robin Hood last night. There's lots about it to like, but unfortunately, the 'nottinghamshire' accents were all so patchy, it kept pulling me out of the story. I know we laugh at Musk's "Imma make my own Odyssey!", but if I could get an AI to redub that movie, I would

Jodie Comer, absolutely first class in it, obvs and the kid's great as is Murray Bartlett Loved the cinematography and I hadn't really seen this question answered on film this way before: "What does it really mean for a monster to become a hero?" It was just the accents, man

Funny/"like, of course"

Some big news I've been waiting SO LONG to talk about!! I made a feature film! It's a fun, silly heartfelt comedy with entirely improvised dialogue. Myself and the wonderful Briony Redman and Richard Soames have been working on it for four years. It's a lifelong dream come true. Here's the poster:

It's having its world premiere on the 3rd Oct at 9pm as part of the London Independent Film Festival. There's so many incredible people from comedy in it. And so much talent off screen. Honestly we're so so excited to finally be able to talk about it and actually have people see it soon.

The speakers on my laptop are so shit that everything that plays through them sounds like it's on the phone in GTA. It's actually quite atmospheric Don't hate it. Makes spotify lossless sound like it's playing off scratchy vinyl 👍

I love how dripping in playground energy this is 😂 "My EX friend actually! I actually said I didn't want to be HIS friend and I actually broke up with HIM. So there."

Don't ask me how I, a 47 year old Londoner, have become slightly obsessed by baseball variant Banana Ball on YT, but I have. Decided I'm a Clowns fan, based on the history of the team. An old lady in the crowd just accidentally caught a ball and it ended the inning How could you not love this game.

About a month ago, the chunky male cheerleaders from the Savannah Bananas - The Mananas- turned a cardboard box into a crap horse, hid in it, then attacked the cheerleaders from the other team because they'd been on a field trip to watch The Odyssey. No notes.

This is the lady who caught the ball between her elbow and her right boob, and goes down in history as the first fan to catch a foul ball in Sioux Falls. This is everything I want sport to be

So, farewell then, Bluebell Hodgkiss, a dog who made people that were scared of dogs, not scared of dogs and who elegantly looked after Sally Hodgkiss until I could. All dogs go to heaven, they say, but Bluebell especially so. What a good dog you were 💔
