Ruby-Rowan Blake (they/she)🏳️‍⚧️

Hey there! I'm Ruby-Rowan (they/them). I wanted somewhere to post my art, and here I am. All the art I post is done by hand, by me - I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm having great fun doing it. Also, fuck art-stealing AI slop.

Loved ones! Please check out the first bit of my new project, Paper Tiger! It's got magical girls, evil plots, trans lesbians, purple dogs (or at least it will do!) I'm super excited about it! #booksky #writersky #authorsky #transauthor #queerauthor #fuckai www.scribblehub.com/read/2525195...

Redemption - Pastels in sugar paper This is inspiration for the book I'm plotting - showing the titular character and her long lost love bonded into a powerful new magical girl / giant mech hybrid, fighting the big bad. #art #tradart #pastels #booksky #artsky #queerartist #transartist #fuckai

Finally getting round to writing again which meant I needed a temporary book cover... so here it is Hopefully i can get my brain in gear and write enough to justify the time it took to draw this damn thing xD

I've got an idea, the motivation and all the time in the world... but no bloody energy! Somebody invent a floating laptop so i can write lying down.

Made a new cat friend today! Very premium! A real muzzler!

Another Goddess, Brigid I was inspired to paint her during a todays house concert by @paganmusic.bsky.social which was awesome btw I don't usually do portraits but I'm pleased with it #softpastels #pastels #art #painting #disabledartist #queerartist #tradart #traditionalart #fuckai #Brigid

Another Goddess, Artemis this time. I'm sort of regretting adding the dogs and antlers but considering I've never painted dogs or antlers before I'm not complaining too much #softpastels #pastels #art #painting #disabledartist #queerartist #tradart #traditionalart #fuckai #artemis

A lil pastel painting of Aphrodite I did for my gf this morning. Really pleased with how it turned out and I definitely need to paint more people... and probably less roses #softpastels #pastels #art #painting #disabledartist #queerartist #tradart #traditionalart #fuckai

This month's medium for art class is soft pastels. I've never used them before so I wasn't sure what to expect - turns out they are ridiculous fun! So here we have them in order that I did em. #art #pastels #painting #drawing #tradart #traditionalart #queerartist #transartist #fuckai

Today was art class - this is my 10 minute warm-up sketch, just a little witch walking through a forest pencil and ink on paper #art #sketch #drawing #tradart #traditionalart #queerartist #transartist #fuckai

Mum bought me a whacking great box of watercolour pencils a while back, so now.i have to figure out how to use them its gonna be fuuuuuun

Made it to art class... With my powerchair i can make this journey in like, 2 minutes at walking pace... But my chair is broken... So its taken 20 minutes with my rollator... My whole body is shaking... #disability

Supposed to have art class tonight but my powerchair is out of action, and I'm already extremely low on whimsy - and using my walker to get there might take what little i have left

An anchor I did at last weeks art class. Messed up on of the prongs a bit but considering its my first attempt at watercolours I'm real pleased with it. #watercolour #watercolor #art #painting #tradart #traditionalart #realart #transartist #queerartist #fuckai #nautical
