Don't be fooled by the short term "savings". Taxpayers are essentially giving $6 billion to their fossil fuel donors. A waste of money that would be better spent fixing real problems. theconversation.com/peter-dutton...
The location of the charging port doesn't bother me. It's the shape that makes it unusable for long periods of time for me. If Apple indeed makes something like the Logitech MX Master 3S (probably the best mouse? even Tim Cook admitted to using it instead of the Magic Mouse), then I'll switch to it.
In the meantime, I'll stick with my MX Master 3S. The Logitech software beyond the mouse settings is unnecessary crap (AI? really?), so I replaced it with BetterMouse.
Great talk by @adamhjk.me! I learned a lot, and the lessons are the ones that make me reflect, even when I don’t do open source business (yet?).

Australia’s education system is unbalanced. It disproportionately favours those who are already advantaged. It gives public money and tax concessions to private schools that go to private beneficiaries. 🔽 📰 @australia.theguardian.com @caitlinecassidy.bsky.social
Thankfully Australia has a big defense budget to defend Australia from these threats.
Subscribing as soon as it comes out. The team absolutely deserves the support. “The company plans to launch a paid subscription model by the end of this year, which will include features such as customizable aesthetics, avatar frames, and more video uploads or high-resolution images.”
Ever wondered why some websites/apps/companies do things that they claim is "for security reasons", unable/unwilling to elaborate further, such as limiting password length, disabling pasting password, requiring a password change every X months, etc?

Really looking forward to Ghostty. I'm very happy with WezTerm at the moment, but I'm keen to see if Ghostty is different and could offer a better experience.
Always a delight to discover this kind of music, an intersection of several different genres, a bit harder to classify, yet very enjoyable.
So happy to find this amazing crossover today
A few PostgreSQL gotchas that are both new and not obvious to me.
Best 20 minutes I spent online this year.

Well done, Wyna Liu! ❤️ today’s Connections!
I thought coffee prices in Australia were already expensive. Apparently not expensive enough!
