It isn't even AI, they're LLMs. Predictive text on steroids. It's artificial, but it certainly isn't intelligent.

I think there's a bit of an obsession, especially among GMs, for their fantasy maps to reflect the world they portray 1:1. I understand this can be useful at times behind the screen or in a published module, but maps have historically been useful for reasons other than accuracy
