This obituary is something. It starts with standard, impressive credentials like working on Bill Maher and then The Daily Show. Then it gets to writing all of Obama’s WHCD speeches. Then it gets to… deadline.com/2026/10/kevi...

Midwesterner. Skeptical, particularly of "economic anxiety." Trying to stay open-minded but generally, they are who we thought they were. Michigan fan. Dems need to reckon w fact Trump won 48% of Latino voters. Very disrespectful to Beck.

It is now a week until Election Day* and still, no sign. 😞 I am under no illusions about the power of lawn signs, but dang -- a person tries to at least help the vibes in a small way, and campaigns are like, "Nah..." *ofc, hundreds of thousands have already voted
Michigan Political Sign update: the one I ordered a week ago, for $22, from Benson's campaign has just shipped! With any luck, I will get it a week before Election Day. 🙄

It’s the first day of early voting in Michigan, and I’m heading to Detroit for a rally to support @jocelynbenson.bsky.social, @abdulelsayed.bsky.social, and Democrats working to create change. Make a plan to vote at MichiganDems.com/Vote.

no matter how sure you are that these guys have broken a whole bunch of laws, you aren't nearly as certain as they are
“Several conservative organizations …— including the Heritage Foundation and American Moment — have pressed White House counsel to either prepare pardons or put in place funding for the legal fees necessary to defend junior staffers from criminal and congressional probes or potential lawsuits.”

Someone stole all the guitars on tour of Detroit’s own Sponge! Jerks. Happened in your neck of the woods, @joelanderson.bsky.social — it’s rough out there. www.cbsnews.com/baltimore/ne...
"it sounds like we’re also potentially heading in the right direction with Russia-Ukraine" What a bozo. How anyone can keep money invested with Ackman is a mystery. www.cnbc.com/2026/10/22/b...

Once again, I am bewildered that @detroitnews.com @freep.com @bridgemi.com etc have left this essentially uncovered in metro Detroit. A huge sub plot of the last election was just Gaza, but Lebanon. Now, two years later, what do local residents think? Did they make the right choice? We have no idea.
Israeli Defense Minister Katz boasts about wiping out 60 Lebanese villages: "We’re talking about 23,000 homes, in ruins. There are no residents left, 200,000 people have been displaced. This is the Gaza model. That's what we've been implementing." www.newarab.com/news/israel-...

Just tried to get lawn signs for my local Michigan Dems. Who decided to make them as hard to get as Pokemon cards? I went to two local offices. The one in Washtenaw had: - No Abdul signs - No Benson signs - One Gilchrist sign (that looked like a truck had run over it) Are lawn signs on the outs?

Oh, this is awful. Ann was such a wonderful critic and a lovely person, too. Awful awful. www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2...
Remember how a dozen name actors are in that new Ben Shapiro movie, and people wondered why? People may have been tricked, may like the part of the script they saw. But people, like Dean Norris, also need money. www.yahoo.com/entertainmen...
This is exactly what I mean. To a majority of the public, they either don't know about Musk's billion dollar backing of white nationalism or don't care. It's just, "Wheee! Technology!" bsky.app/profile/carl...
...and EV buyers are not really paying attention to lower cost options (e.g., Chevy Bolt, Equinox EV, KIA Niro) but still look at Tesla first & foremost. Elon really isn't that toxic with the general public. I bet the majority don't know / don't care he's a white nationalist etc. That's a problem!
@debbiedingell.house.gov is an old-school Dem politician. I get her weekly newsletter, and am just astounded by the number of community & constituent events she attends. It's like a dozen or two every week, all around her district. Thumbs up to her. debbiedingell.house.gov/news/email/s...
These type of tweets are frustrating, and not just Andy Harris is a no-nothing ahole. Add a few words: where did this exchange take place? It looks like it is in public, but I don't know. Could be his hotel room. Just say "...told a reporter in a community center hallway..." or whatever.
Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.
As a related aside, it's not just a problem due in text length in tweets. This is a write up of the event. It says it was held in Cambridge MD, but not where. I had to keep Googling to find that it was at the Chesapeake Grove Intergenerational Center. marylandmatters.org/2026/10/14/i...
