a localised @bluesky forum network matchmaking with nearby people select a setting, match with nearby participant’s criteria: - hanging out/relaxing mode - social/chatrooms - make new friends - any activity (watching a film, etc.) - customize an encounter - creative session (collaborative) 👨🏻‍🍳 🌿

millennials are one of the only remaining generations on earth with the ability to understand people and they're still attacking us because they were jealous of our instagrams

i'm writing a peace demonstration of a mini digital revolution moment on twitter rn, if anybody wants to watch me paint on captured twitter you're welcome to join in

commercial products are now devaluing craft, labor, and anything made or written by hand Adobe is built for productivity, it's not doing the work for you like an OpenAI subscription generating both text and imagery...

the entertainment industry (including films, music, and video games) are all in a digital-only transition in the middle of a writer's strike across several industries while the OpenAI business model is undervaluing creatives and authorship

Meta now lets anyone use your Instagram photos in AI images without your consent. SAG-AFTRA recommends that #SagAftraMembers (and all Instagram users) opt-OUT of Meta’s new AI image generation tool, Muse Image. Take action to protect your likeness.

compact discs really going extinct? this news is gargantuan in size. colossal. effects the entire entertainment industry because discs can be films or music too. people are realising it's all going into streaming platform no man's land. this is part of the story of the ongoing writer's strike

to summarise it quickly: if you kill off the architects then it all falls down. when they killed off Aaron Swartz, the internet was left incomplete. Innovation cannot continue because they murdered the opposition in an act of war

Generating art with AI without consent is plagiarism, period. It's done enough destruction to the art world and creative industry. If an artist builds their own unique AI tools, then sure, it could be acceptable.

Spotify is a design problem. Do you design it fairly and then write the laws, or the other way around? The design solution of the store isn't finished. It's about recreating the experience of visiting Tower Records where there is organic exploration rather than being constantly fed suggestions.

You know what radicalised me? When they intimidated Aaron Swartz. He was an Internet architecht we need right now. Maybe that's why the world is still falling apart on this thing. They mess with the best and it impacts everyone. Probably Russian.

Ah, yes, a clear blue sky. Good to be back on Earth again. Refreshing. How's the discourse on this thing? I've been watching Twitter and Threads closely. I've learned a few things. Let's hope this thing survives because the Internet is clearly under attack.

Questionable algorithms. Monopolies. Bot wars. Anti-competition all across the board. The Internet was always a massive boycott movement. People disrupt communications at a time of war.

You are up to date.
