In regards to research programs. I believe that governments do research in order to obtain power. Private industry does research in order to obtain money. For knowledge, I would hope oor University system would do the research.

The Canadian Finance Minister resigned due to Trump. Maybe she should have stayed inside the administration to help the resistance.
