One of my most used expressions at the moment.. I thought about how to translate 'Na eh' to english. But it's a lot of meaning in two 'words' in Austria. Something like 'Duh', 'Obviously' and 'Figures' I guess? Very hard to describe. But I love how it fits with my waldrapp 😅 #inkart

Deerly Beloved 🦌 There's a drawing challenge over at instagram that I found interesting. #botanicalbeasties2026 provides a promt for an animal and a plant each week in september. Check it out, if you are on instagram. #inkart #art #b&wart

I so see myself in this. For me it is later in the day. But definitely like this.

Brainstorming is an essential part of my creative process. Around 2.30, just after lunch. Don’t judge. H8cm x W8cm Pencil. (Coloured in procreate). #studiolife

To all non-native-english speakers: What language are you writing/posting in and why? Every time I think about posting something, I can't decide what language to use. Have written all my posts so far in English, because for me this is the lingua franca of "the internet". And I do want to use it.

On the other hand I do have the feeling that this stops me from connecting to people in my region. This stops me from posting anything, because I can't decide. Guess it depends on what you write about? What's your experience? Do you mix and match? Stick to one? Who do you follow? Very interested.

Gladly support this 😊

Hey #PortfolioDay! I'm Romana from Tyrol/Austria. I'm a graphic designer and illustrator, doing digital paintings and vector graphics. Can adapt to different styles, but love doing nerdy stuff. Fan of penguins 😁 🐧 🌐 romanamayr.com ✉️ contact@romanamayr.com

Yes, I have always been drawing (especially animals). Found this one the other day and it's perfekt timing to share it. Easter Image ("Osterbild") drawn by 5 year old me. (Look how proud i was 😂 ).

This time of year again.. It's getting warmer and life outside starts. Wanted to catch some impressions. Now off hopping on the slackline again 😁

This will be a very new experience for myself 😬

Am 28./29. März findet der Kunst & Design Markt in der Messe Innsbruck statt und ich bin mit dabei! Dort darf ich euch vor Ort meine handgezeichneten Tierillustrationen zeigen! 🥳 Wer kommt vorbei? 😊 #designmarkt #kunstmarkt #innsbruck

Plan driven or agile life plan? What is yours? One of the first things we learned about in the first semester was the software engineering process. And in this process the two main planning strategies: “plan driven development” aka. “the waterfall model” and “agile development. 1/6

Which leads them to voting for pretenders who insist they can stop the change and bring back “good old times” (that weren’t that good in the first place). 5/6

It wont’t. And you know what? That’s also a nice thing. If you just want to go back in time, you can’t work towards a future that’s worth living in. You waste resources. At least that is my view on the world. I know not everyone shares it. :) 6/6

I don’t believe in a life plan. I don’t believe in working and doing stuff “you have to do” until some well deserved retirement. In my worldview there is no retirement. There’s just the environment changing and me changing with it. Or the other way round. But change itself is inevitable. 3/6

I do think that in a changing world we would all do well to incorporate a little more agile planning to our lives. You don’t have to do it full blown, like I do. But looking around, people have made their life plans the waterfall way and are now pissed of that the world is changing. 4/6

After reading and hearing about this two (and the associated change management strategies) I had a little revelation about myself. I do live my life the agile way - while most people don’t. 2/6

It’s semester break and instead of taking a holiday from studying and concentrating on building my freelance career and business ( @tuschetier.at 👀), my “wanna‑do‑and‑know‑all” self subscribed to “Winter School – Futures Thinking for Innovation & Entrepreneurship,” because, you know, nothing to do…

But I was thinking that maybe I can get some useful tools to imagine other possible futures, or any future at all where we (as in we as society) are actually doing something good and have more energy to pursue realizing such a future. Sounds quite bleak when I write it that way…

did my "methods of software engineering I" exam on thursday. checked the code afterwards.. memo to myself: if you have time left, just take a deep breath and check everything once again. this could have been easily avoided.

I started a new business! My doggie and inktober drawings inspired me to do drawings for other people. For more animals in ink follow -> @tuschetier.at or visit my brand new website (for now just german..) 🥰 wish me luck. would love for this to work out! 🤞 tuschetier.at #inkdrawing #animalart

Inktober #34 (Bonus Pic #3) – Door When Kira lost her hearing, she followed me everywhere, often lying by my side or "blocking" doors to sense if someone moved around. I imagine her walking through that door on her own when she died. We miss her. 🖤 #Inktober #Inktober2025

That's it! My special prolonged Kira Inktober is done. Thanks to all who followed me and Kira through our years together. I have to admit I did cry a lot when posting those last images. But it's a good hurt.

Inktober #33 (Bonus Pic #2) – Resting Day When Kira turned 16, it was clear to me that this was our last chance for a big trip together. So we went on a 3 week cycling trip through the eastern parts of Austria. Even though we didn’t know it then, it was a beautiful goodbye. #Inktober #Inktober2025

Inktober #32 (Bonus Pic #1) – Window A year before Kira died, we moved again. The new flat had an almost floor-to-ceiling window with a small ledge and a glass railing - it was the perfect dog balcony. She loved lying in the sun, watching the street below. #Inktober #Inktober2025

Inktober #31 – Hiking Buddies Kira wasn’t as fast anymore. She needed help getting over obstacles, gravel hurt her paws, and downhill parts were hard on her joints. But you could still see the joy she took in being out and about. So we kept going - just a little slower… #Inktober #Inktober2025

Inktober #30 - Something happening? During the year Kira lost most of her hearing. This was the first new year we enjoyed without panicking.. #Inktober #Inktober2025

Inktober #29 – Fluffy Dumpling Most of the time, I didn’t call my dog by her name. Instead, I called her "Puppy" (a nickname from our first long hiking trek), "Dumpling" (because she looked like one when rolled up), "Mouse" (those ears!), or "Fluffy"… #Inktober #Inktober2025
