Our beloved Charlie passed today. He was in great shape despite having diabetes and losing his eyesight. I’m just gutted and grieving. He was a gentle giant.

Lucy, our rescued baby, crossed the rainbow bridge at 2 am today. She must have been terribly abused early on because she was a walking ball of anxiety. It’s weirdly quiet tonight.

She was a sweet dog for 4 years Then Lucy suddenly snapped and Launched herself at my husband , snarling as he was leading our blind yellow lab to bed . Lucy got a big chunk of husband’s calf and his fingers. I shouted at her and 1/2

2/2 she turned on me. Tried to bite my foot but I had on slippers so she just got fuzz. She suddenly stopped. My husband had to go to the ER and because the wound was so severe she had to be put down. I was never so terrified and I’m still so sad. We have no idea what triggered her.

Remembering my friend Chuck today n his birthday. He was a gem. Died of cancer before they could cut his health care and make it so much worse. A dear, lovely friend of over 40 years. Watching ice hockey in heaven!

Spent our 42d wedding anniversary tonight, thinking how lucky we are in the midst of this sh—t storm not to affected much by Trump’s ineptitude -yet. Hopefully his funeral will be the big hit he really wants. Sleep well y’all
