@tomkiss.net Hey Tom, I came across your work today with the DF news and was imminently impressed. I spent 20 minutes agog just looking around in inspector. I mean this as the highest complement: genuine psycho shit. The rest of your portfolio as well. Your love and passion oozes out of your code.

I think the problem is people see businesses shrugging off 100%, 300%, and 500% increases to executive pay and they project that on to the businesses margin.

This is absolutely something I’ve found too. Particularly on the left, people tend to see businesses as endless pools of money, which can shrug off 2%, 3%, 5% cuts to margin with no trouble. It’s simply not true. Cut business margins and businesses die. Tradeoffs are very real here.

@clhubes.bsky.social Every time I watch Frozen, which is a lot lately as my daughter is obsessed, I think about that others-sandwiches comment. Have you considered that Anna is saying it out of naievatee and parroting and Hans is affirming it as part of his plot to love-bomb her?

When the two groups are "people who learn" vs "people who don't learn" then there is no benefit to mixing the two. The people who learn are just constantly trying to explain things to rocks.

Yes. If their ideas were actually "challenging" that would be interesting and worth engaging with. But they're not. They're just annoying, especially as so much of it is based on misrepresenting things over and over that take a while to show why they're misrepresented.

You are up to date.
