Detroit red wings journalist reporting that Dylan Larkin is not on the ice for practice with the rest of his team. That kind of means a lot, or maybe not, or maybe kind of but not sure…🤣

Kapanen gets a lot of grief but some of it is unfair. He is not one who will drive a line, I think he is a smart player who can react well to what others do on the ice. For that line to be able to create opportunities, it needs Slaf to step up with the puck but his passing game has not been great.

Kris Draper has been to many Habs games recently and I have to believe it’s for a reason. He is looking at a or a few players from their roster. I don’t think that it’s necessarily means that Larkin is going to be involved in a trade though.

Excellent analysis as alway

Jacob Fowler moving up the chart as a top NHL goalie this season. He was terrific again as the Montreal Canadiens won the Heritage Classic in Winnipeg. The Call Of The Wilde is written for Global Montreal. globalnews.ca/news/1212066...

Perhaps a bold prediction, but I believe that in a few years, Jacob Fowler will become a perennial contender for the Vezina Trophy. I don’t recall ever seeing a young goaltender so skilled at reading the play and reacting accordingly.

Just arrived home. So I saw that Florian Xhekaj is in for Owen Beck and Matheson is at RD? I can see why Habs wanted Florian back in the lineup. He’s young and needs to play and while I don’t think it’s a big factor, he’s a left-handed shot and both Evans and Dach are right handed shot

I don’t know why they would go back to the Matheson-Guhle pairing. They don’t work well together in my opinion. Neither one is comfortable on the right side. Would have preferred Xhekaj on the right, I think he did well enough there

Habs could have solved their 2C problem if they would have agreed to include Slafkovsky or Demidov in a trade package. I know i am being facetious but i still don't get the criticism of management when nobody knows what was offered or refused. If solving one problem creates another one, why do it?

Loss of Suzuki is huge, Habs won't be as good without him, but many other players on the current roster can be better and they will have to be. Short-term, they can get by but it's gut check time and up to them to step-up.

Je suis à l’aréna de Saint-Eustache pour observer le match qui oppose l’équipe locale au Séminaire Saint-François. C’est une patinoire à l’ancienne, comme on n’en fait plus . J’adore ça ! :)

They call Lane Hutson a lot when he is challenged physically. Here's why. The refs view him as a tiny player so presume difficulties for him. As soon as they see even a hint of it, it's a penalty. Contrast this with Shea Weber who literally cross checked guys until they had back injuries. Nada.
