spotted a big box copy of max payne at the local game store but pricecharting said it was overpriced so i passed on it, but it sparked a convo with a girl who works there about remedy and old games like that ended up grabbing a legendary addition to my collection though

when i got home though i realized pricecharting was lying to me about max payne so i went back today to grab it only to find that the girl who works there bought it first so i bought some other things and we talked about the dreamcast, maybe there are cool people who live around here...

there's so many problems with these captions, and it's not a localization problem because it follows the english lines well enough, but it's like someone is just typing these as they hear them without paying attention to any context, constant misheard words, misspelled names that are ON SCREEN, etc

for how much the zelda series has taken from link to the past and made into formulaic staples of the series, it's really odd to think about the sheer amount of lore, mechanics, enemies, etc from the game that they've never even mentioned ever again

ok no really, out of the 5 rounds played this last game (not counting the TWO rounds that ended with kyuushu kyuuhai), i entered tenpai for EACH ONE and did not win a single one, i am really not playing poorly and yet the game is FUCKING me

mahjong the only game you can play perfectly and still lose game after game after fucking game, almost every hand i've played today out of the 3 or 4 games i've played has gone into tenpai and i won ONE of them

jackbox should provide alternate hosts for each of the games for cases when you and your group don't really vibe with the provided host, the caveat being it should always be cookie masterson hurriedly being pulled into the booth and barely understanding the rules and running the game accordingly

started playing segagaga, a satirical meta rpg, and i'm enjoying it quite a lot! it's such a fun dissection of game development and the culture around it, shoved into a fairly simple but easy enough traditional jrpg, filled with incongruous assets in a polished world, it's a grade a shitpost

i'm no fan of slaughter as many of you might already know but i do enjoy watching decino and i can appreciate some of the strategy that goes into playing these maps, and it makes me curious if anyone has made a bfg efficiency hud to rate how you're utilizing your ammo vs the damage you're dealing

having an overlay tracking separate bfg shots with info like time between firing and tracer activation, total damage (including metrics like bfg ball vs tracer dmg, tracers/enemies hit, etc), and a calculation on efficiency (percentage of maximum potential of bfg shot utilized) would be kinda neat
