Hi! I'm Rhass. I stream every Wednesday and Friday. Every other month, I host The Retro Rumble; a bracketed style tournament with 8 games from one system, playing each match head-to-head for an hour per game. On off months, I pick a theme and play retro and indie games that fit. Links in bio!

I sorted through 600 games in my Next Fest discovery queue to find some fun looking games and played a few on stream yesterday. Here's my findings in a neat little thread.

Other games that look fun, don't have AI and I mean to check out before the event is over and a very bare bones first impression from trailer/store page: Cyan Breach (metroidvania) Draftula (tetris castlebuilder) Emberville (core-keepery action RPG) Last Moon (zelda-ey action RGP)

Littlelands (animal crossing that looks like Link's Awakening) One more adventure (old school roguelike ala nethack) Scramble Knights (MMO link's awakening)

With the amount of AI slob in NextFest, it's up to content creators and word of mouth to spread the message of the good, handcrafted, games in this one.

Steam NextFest starts in about 7 hours. I'm going to be tackling some demos on stream on Wednesday. Since I got limited time, I decided to focus on the type of games that I actually play on my channel: Action RPGs, Metroidvanias and Roguelikes. Open for recommendations!

What's the best way to contact publishers to ask for keys for a charity event? I've tried the obvious: Look for a contact e-mail on their website and send them a friendly mail asking for keys that also includes info about the event (previous results, demographic, ccv, charity).

Last year I did a mini speedrun marathon during a larger charity event with my stream team. This weekend my stream team raised 3.5k pounds for Mind and they've hit a stretch goal of me committing to doing a second Rapidly Running with Rhass. 🎉 youtube.com/watch?v=JHP-... Time to start planning.
