I'm long overdue for a bio update, so... I added my gaming systems to it. I now have 4 to play on: Nintendo Switch 2, PC, mobile, and my brand new PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. I'm "retro_pipes" on the PS5. Switch friend code is SW-2405-5529-8208. RetroPipes everywhere else. Add me if you want.

Fun fact: Cam Booser's game ERA last night was infinite - he pitched to 4 batters without recording an out. ⚾️

I learned something this weekend: there's no longer any point in the game development project I was working on when someone else has done a better job than I ever could (and I have the release binaries).

I'm disappointed that even recently released Steam games with Mac versions are still Intel only. This is severely limiting what I know I'll be able to play through the next major OS upgrade cycle.

I've decided that enough is enough with KEMCO games. Deleted and hid them all on my Switch. Sick and tired of their greedy DLC strategy.

I'm not voting early this year. Why bother when the voting place is literally a minute's drive away, just across the street? I'd walk there if I could cross the street safely, it's that close.

I decided to redo my #QuestMaster dungeon "A Dungeon of Dungeons", as I didn't like the way it was developing, and wanted to have more than 8 dungeons-in-a-dungeon. So I made a new version with 10, the first 9 of which can be attempted in any order you please. Completing all those opens the 10th.

I really need to get back to making games instead of playing them, so that's what I intend to do this weekend.

I was perusing Yu-Gi-Oh related YouTube videos today and I saw news about new OCG support for the Amazoness and Harpy archetypes! I am extremely happy to see this... and I sure hope Master Duel gets it soon, as that's something I'd spend gems on.

Well it's now official: I will never publish anything on Steam that I make due to the flood of lazy "games" infesting the platform currently.

If anyone's wondering what I found on Steam Next Fest (that has a macOS version AND doesn't appear to use generative AI) that 1 minute of the demo was sufficient to earn it a wishlist: store.steampowered.com/app/5109460/... This is more of a physics toy than a game, but WOW! So much fun!

store.steampowered.comDesktop Ball on SteamA little physics toy that lives on top of your desktop. Fidget, vent, and mess around with a bunch of weird balls. Fling them, bounce them, dunk them, explode them, or just slosh around in a tiny ocea...

I came up with a new #QuestMaster dungeon idea: a dungeon of dungeons! In the screen shot is the "overworld" area, which connects to everything else, but you have to attempt the dungeons in order. Still a WIP...

With the dungeon themes done and the stubs built a little more, it's time for the first round of bug fixes... and the first bug is a severe one: the rotating obstacle on a mine cart that was once there for the first boss battle had to be removed due to it pushing the player out of bounds! Oops...

Fixed one more bug where the Mirror Shield room was unbeatable - that definitely wasn't intended! - and made it a little easier by having the shooter trigger after the shield is grabbed. With that, the Dungeon of Dungeons should now be beatable... I hope.

Anyone remember what GTA game had the bug/feature where you could stack a car on a seesaw then drop something heavy on the other end to launch it ridiculously far?

When the foe is best dealt with by conversion into Link Material, I turn to this guy. A real terror if used right. I'll admit that I'm still learning how the Unchained archetype works.

Checked out the Steam Next Fest. They finally fixed the sale interface so I can find some games to play... found only one, but one minute with the demo was enough for me to wishlist it 😁

Curious, do you play seasonal video games or is that not a thing for you? Option 2 for me. The games I play don’t change with the seasons.

The absolute worst part about being an introvert is that nobody really shows even the tiniest effort to include you in their conversations if you don't just butt yourself into them, which feels completely counterintuitive to being an introvert.

Good morning. Brrrr! 🥶 As forecast, it's currently 30°F/-1°C, justifying the freeze warning! At least it should warm up quickly after sunrise.

Ended up playing a lot of Epic Battle Fantasy 5 today, trying to clear out some of the optional areas and get any loot that's left. Got a bunch of new equipment, all of which I already forged up to maximum (buying what few materials I still lacked). Had fun. Fought some tough bosses. Solved puzzles.

Dungeon of Dungeons is more complete now… still need to build out the actual dungeons for 5 through 8. What’s there now is just a stub dungeon with the boss and the key item, if any. Dungeons 1 through 4 are fully built - complete with theme, mechanic, boss and key item.

Good morning... it's cold today! Highs below 10°C/50°F + a freeze warning tonight means I'll be trying my best to keep warm all day and not going anywhere. 🥶

I know of a number of decks this card is usable in (Marincess and Umi come to mind), but having never played either, I don't know how useful it would be when added to them.

I just had a brilliant game design idea... imagine an RPG, but instead of XP, you got orbs, which you could choose when and how to spend improving each element, with benefits roughly corresponding to the traditional stats? For example, raising LIGHT would make fog affect you less.
