> With so much money slushing around in the Open Research landscape these days, it is clear decisions are being made to move money to certain places. There is a brief window of opportunity to still include ResearchEquals in those decisions, but that window is rapidly closing.

Our platform runs for roughly โ‚ฌ25/day โ€” and anyone can publish on it for free. The APC for a single paper could instead keep ResearchEquals online for months: Nature: โ‚ฌ10,000 โ†’ ~400 days Scientific Data: โ‚ฌ2,390 โ†’ ~96 days PLOS Biology: $5,500 โ†’ ~190 days DM us if your OA funds need more purpose ๐Ÿ˜‰

We are making ResearchEquals safe by design โ€“ we now require manual approval of new accounts and can quarantine accounts upon suspicious activity. This is about actively caring for the space we seek to create, not gatekeeping. All genuine research practice remains welcome.

Great to see the Open Source for Science Fund launched for the life sciences! We also need this for open scholarly infrastructure. Our funds run out end of 2027 and are actively looking for ways to sustain the project in a way that sustains our values.

We're going to the FOR conference and we would love to meet you there! buff.ly/Qqb2wzq DRA will be presenting a poster on how we're working to make open research skills accessible and equitable regardless of discipline, location or background. Stop by our poster, geek about OS or have a fun chat.

Research comes in many shapes and sizes. Based on incoming requests there are three new output types supported on ResearchEquals - Zine ๐Ÿ“‘ - Infographic โ„น๏ธ - Wiki ๐Ÿค Happy sharing!

We're continuously working with researchers to provide even better tooling for publishing and curating the research process. Using ResearchEquals and have feedback? Humans are at the ready to help! support@researchequals.com
