This week, I visited Eugene Triplett's fifth-generation family farm in Culpeper. As the only Virginian on the Ag Committee, I was honored to visit his farm, hear his story, and discuss how I'm working to save programs that help him sell produce to local churches and schools.

Since January 2025, my office has returned more than $10 MILLION in backlogged tax refunds, VA benefits, Social Security checks, and more to residents of the Seventh District. Are you having an issue with a federal agency? Please contact our office.

It was great to join Beth Sholom Temple in celebrating 90 years of Jewish life, faith, and community in the Fredericksburg area. I’m proud to commemorate this milestone and honor the congregation’s lasting legacy with an entry in the Congressional Record. Mazel tov on 90 years!

Today is the last day to apply to the 2026 Congressional App Challenge!    I hope every Seventh District student interested in coding, computer science, and app design will participate. Ready to put your skills to the test?    Learn more below ⬇️

My American Cost of Living Defense Act will expose corporate practices that may be driving up costs and help hold powerful corporations accountable. It's time to put consumers first and bring down costs for hardworking Americans.

Secretary Hegseth told me himself that the Department of Defense prepared for every possible outcome of going to war with Iran. Trump and Hegseth knew exactly what could happen. They chose this path anyway. Our troops are paying the price for a war they chose to start without a plan to finish.

Families are already paying too much for groceries. The last thing they need is for stores to use their personal information to charge them even more. I'm introducing legislation to protect consumers' privacy and ensure hardworking Americans get a fair price at checkout.

Rey from my team joined Stafford High School for its Centennial Homecoming Football Game. I’m honored to recognize Stafford High School’s century-long legacy by commemorating this milestone in the Congressional Record.  Here’s to another 100 years of excellence.

I visited DroneTrace to learn more about their work in drone research. As drones play an increasingly important role in our national security, it’s great to see the cutting-edge work happening right here in VA-07. Thank you to the DroneTrace team for taking the time to share your work!

I’m announcing $4.7 million in grants supporting educational programs in more than 90 national parks across the country — including right here in Virginia. Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park will use these funds to help students learn about the history of our public lands.

I was glad to join Sen. Kaine, Rep. Subramanyam, and community leaders for the Washington Manassas Airport's new air traffic control tower groundbreaking! I'm looking forward to the day I can make a short drive to Manassas and hop on a commercial flight in the near future.

I’m proud to announce more than $450,000 for Germanna Community College through the Strengthening Institutions Program.  This investment will help expand opportunities for students and support Germanna’s continued commitment to providing high-quality education and workforce training.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending a service at Beulah Baptist Church in Woodford and spending time with the congregation. Thank you to Reverend Dr. Lee for delivering a powerful message of unity, and to Mr. Braswell and the entire Beulah Baptist Church family for the warm welcome.

It was great to attend the inaugural Celebra Prince William Fest!
What a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the rich Latino culture, traditions, and heritage that help make Prince William County such a special place to call home. ¡Gracias, Prince William!

The proposed merger between NextEra and Dominion Energy would raise prices for consumers. 🚨I joined @warren.senate.gov and @repsuhas.bsky.social in warning the FERC that this merger could leave ratepayers footing the bill while the enlarged company delays grid upgrades and evades scrutiny.

I was honored to meet so many federal employees at the NARFE Chapter 1270 luncheon.   These are dedicated public servants who have spent their careers serving our country, supporting our communities, and keeping our government running.   Thank you for your service and for all you do!

Thank you to the students and faculty at the Dahlgren School for such a warm welcome last week! I enjoyed sharing a little about my military service and answering thoughtful questions. Our next generation of leaders has a bright future ahead, and I can't wait to see all they accomplish!

I attended the 4th Annual Regional Housing Summit to discuss the importance of expanding access to affordable housing across our region.   Thank you to the Regional Housing Assembly for the invitation and for bringing together leaders committed to addressing our region’s housing needs.

I joined About Women OB/GYN for a meaningful conversation about the challenges facing our health care system and the future of women’s health in our community. Thank you to the About Women OB/GYN team for the important work you do and for taking the time to share your perspectives!

Cases of mail theft and check fraud are growing, putting families, businesses, and communities at risk. I’m leading legislation to strengthen the U.S. Postal Service OIG’s ability to investigate postal employee misconduct, mail theft, and check fraud.

I'm glad President Trump ultimately reversed course on plans to live-stream Nidal Hasan's execution, but we should never have reached this point in the first place. I introduced legislation to ensure no future administration can authorize the live-streaming of executions in the United States.

Congressman Eugene Vindman@repvindman.bsky.social

As an Army JAG, I oversaw the post-trial legal proceedings following Nidal Hasan’s horrific attack at Fort Hood. I believed then, and I believe now, that he should face the fullest consequences of the law. But live-streaming his execution is what terrorists and authoritarian regimes do.

Trump’s reckless war with Iran has sent gas, diesel, and grocery prices skyrocketing. Now, just weeks before the midterms, he’s turning to Vladimir Putin to bail him out with a diesel deal. This isn’t the first time Trump has made a deal with the devil, and it certainly won’t be the last.

Neabsco Community Day was a wonderful celebration of community. It’s always great to spend time with my Prince William County neighbors. Thank you to Supervisor Angry for organizing this event and to all who came out to make it a success!

I’m proud to have earned an A from Defend The Vote Action Fund for my record of fighting corruption, protecting voting rights, and standing up for the voice and vote of Virginians in VA-07. I’m grateful for this recognition and will keep working to ensure our democracy works for everyone.

I celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Chesapeake Bay and Watershed Report Card and a major milestone: the Bay earned its highest score in 40 years! This progress is a testament to the hard work of the communities, conservationists, and partners dedicated to protecting the Chesapeake Bay.

Our troops should never be asked to carry out the political will of a president at the expense of our democracy. I’m backing Rep. Ryan’s legislation to prevent the president from weaponizing the military to interfere with our elections. Americans’ right to vote must remain free from intimidation.

The proposed NextEra-Dominion merger is a bad deal for Virginians, and I’m fighting to stop it. I joined fellow Virginians at the SCC hearing to demand that they reject this merger and put families ahead of corporate profits. We must stand with Main Street, not Wall Street. 📺 Watch my remarks:

I had the opportunity to attend the launch of the One Diaspora, Many Roots Initiative, a powerful celebration of the strength of the African Diaspora.   When we come together, we can build stronger communities and create greater opportunities for everyone.

The Seventh Annual Port Royal Pirate Festival in Caroline County is a tradition alive and well.  What a fun day celebrating local history, bringing neighbors together, and enjoying a little pirate adventure. I even got the chance to meet some pirates along the way! ☠️

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. This month, join me in raising awareness, supporting those affected, and in fighting for a cure.

🚨 HAPPENING NOW 🚨 I’m at the SCC hearing in Fairfax joining fellow Virginians in opposing the Dominion-NextEra merger. Virginians are already paying too much for electricity. We can’t afford a deal that could send bills even higher.
