I can barely look at myself here, but this is when I played a joke on my dentist and wore fake teeth asking if veneers would look good. The whole place shut down.

Stopped to pet my neighbors huge puppy and she jumped up and scratched all down my face and neck. 9a meeting. It looks like I just murdered someone or was in American werewolf in London. 5 long red lines bleeding a little bit. I’ll definitely go to this meeting

Do you work with production data? We have some updates for you. My students and I developed a tool that was accepted for publication in Behavior Research Methods. The tool is called: TAPA (Toolkit for Acoustic-Phonetic Analysis). Yes, the name is influenced by the tapas tradition. #speechscience

I modified this kangaroo from the Snodgrass and Vanderwart picture set 20+ years ago when I was first learning photoshop during my postdoc. It's been years since I stumbled upon it. Look at the pink baby

Temple U assigned my trans daughter to an all male dorm. They have no remaining gender inclusive single rooms - which we thought we had. We are heartbroken. Unloading the car back at home, kid in tears. Don’t even know what to say now, but you can bet I will soon. It won’t be pretty.

Excited to share our lab's recent paper showing that direct electrical stimulation of the human amygdala enhances recognition memory for objects but not scenes. The article is open-access, and we'd love to hear your thoughts! Please share! TY to everyone involved! www.nature.com/articles/s42...

I’m in the process of taking the longest vacation of the past decade - two weeks of nothing. I had this dark thought that maybe I work so hard normally just to chase away existential thoughts. Then I realized that’s a question best not pondered
