in practice route 92 Medical's 510(k) clearance confirms substantial equivalence, not clinical superiority. That distinction matters more than the headline.

169,460 MAUDE reports trigger complaint investigation, not an osseointegration verdict; deduplicate cases, establish implant denominators, and escalate confirmed patterns into risk-linked. #CAPA #MedicalDeviceQMS #RiskManagement

The irony of the S3065 recall is almost comic: the product meant to catch sterilization failures may itself be below specification. That doesn't prove contaminated devices, but it makes the verification trail harder to trust.

Centinel's 510(k) clearance covering four ProDisc variants looks less like four separate leaps in spine surgery than a product-family rollout with a naming committee.

actually spreadsheets and email approvals are process risk with no audit trail. This walkthrough shows how connected workflow can bring quality decisions into one place. Worth a watch. #DocumentControl #AuditReady #QualityManagement

For S3065, quarantine affected packs and map every sterilization cycle they monitored; below-spec spores weaken cycle evidence, requiring documented impact assessment, root cause and recall scope.

QmsWrapper lists at EUR 3,499/year with no seat cap (qmswrapper.com). A per-seat rival looks cheaper until you count the 200 people who must log a complaint, deviate from a SOP, or sign a design review. Article 10(9) puts the whole company in scope. How many of yours actually log?

Approve the change only after mapping every affected document, process, risk file and supplier control; otherwise, auditors will reconstruct the blast radius from scattered evidence.

Two CAPA logs for one device, then 14 months of parallel running. At the next Annex IX audit the Notified Body asks one question: which system is the record of truth. From what I've seen, that answer is where the real cost sits.

granted records freeze on their creation version by design, retroactive edits break the audit trail. Annoying for the engineer, defensible at audit. Every compliant eQMS does this; qmsWrapper just doesn't pretend otherwise. #AuditReady #QualityManagement #DocumentControl

Inverted evaluation: name a standard, see which platforms actually hold it. QmsWrapper covers ISO 13485, EU MDR/IVDR, 21 CFR Part 11, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA QMSR, ISO 27001 and the EU AI Act in one stack, uncommon reach at this tier. #MDRCompliance #ISO14971 #RegulatoryAffairs

in practice pick any design change from the last 12 months and follow it forward: risk file, clinical evaluation, CER, sterilization validation. In my audits the chain usually stops at the risk file, where MDR Annex I obligations quietly go unassessed. How far back does yours go?

First hour of an unannounced NB audit: parallel QMS systems, duplicate entries, legacy data that never reconciles. Migration scars do not hide from trained auditors. #RegulatoryAffairs #AuditReady #DataIntegrity

actually audit finding waiting to happen: frontline staff treat the QMS as overhead because the system forces them to stop the work and reconstruct context hours later. ISO 13485 expects events captured in the moment. Calendar-driven checks make that impossible.

Clause 4.1 of ISO 9001:2024 adds climate to context. One sentence in the context document isn't transformation, if risks, objectives, and competence didn't shift, the QMS didn't either.

real screens for ISO 9001 clause mapping, properly measured. Same for pricing: EUR 3,499 entry, capability-level not headcount-based. Two things done right in one video...

to be fair 71,530 'low reading' reports in four months means the trend-analysis procedure ran, but too slowly. Post-market surveillance that files after MAUDE aggregates is documentation, not surveillance.

Half a million for an eQMS. CAPA in one portal, complaints in another, risk file in a third. Zero cross-links. The ISO 13485 audit finding practically writes itself. Price scales with seats, not integration.

Twenty-four million dollars to former executives. Corporate governance in medtech: lavishly generous on the way out, austere on the way in. #QualityManagement #MDRCompliance #FDACompliance

A centralized hazard log only reduces audit friction if the scoring behind it has the resolution to actually drive design decisions. Otherwise you've just relocated the weakness to one tidy place. #DesignControl #RiskManagement #MedTech

to be fair 510(k) clearance is the ante, not the hand. The MAUDE signal trending alongside, 247k imprecise-result reports, is what your PMS-to- loop exists to catch. Under MDR Article 84, this isn't optional. The clearance is decorative if the loop never closes. #FDACompliance #CAPA #ISO13485

Paper QMS fails because nobody escalates. EForms QMS fails the same way if the tool only flips a status column on a record. Ask whether process state lives in its own engine. Most vendors won't answer cleanly.

160,882 reports of imprecise readings over five months is not a trending topic, it is a quiet emergency. Every one of those is a patient who trusted a number.

When MAUDE signals accumulate faster than they reach CAPA, you get a Midmark-style recall. Post-market trending has to be a connected workflow, not an archive.

The PMS plan most companies submit to their Notified Body looks like MDCG 2022-21 copy-pasted with the blanks filled in. Then the first PSUR cycle arrives and nobody knows what to do with it. Build the system before you write the document.
