I agree with everything Licha said. However there is something he didn’t say . That he has been terrible this season, that Bruno has been terrible, that Maguire Shaw Dalot have been terrible this seaso. Carrick has been let down by the people at the top for sure but also by his senior players.

We have totally messed up our midfield rebuild and Wilcox should be blamed as well as Carrick. Going forward I think it’s either Bruno or Tielemans as the 10. Baleba or santos as the 6, and Mainoo or Mount as the 8. Not great options but it’s all I can think of to balance midfield a bit

If carrick does get sacked then should Wilcox get sacked as well?

Here’s an idea. Why don’t we never appoint a manager again. Just have a series of former players as interims for a few months. Ole and carrick , Fletcher, Giggs and RVN have had a go. Surely Scholes, Keano and G Neville would be up for a few months. Then mayor Rio & Evra ?

I’m pleased to see Mazroui ahead of Dalot. I think he’s better than Dalot at all aspects of the game. I also really hope Lacey and Sesko get to come on. How strong is our bench now!

The performance against Milan was so poor and it knocked me back but the news today that we could soon have Sesko, De Ligt and Baleba is a huge boost. The power of those three will add a complete new dimension to our have and allow Bruno Tielemans Mainoo and Rashy to play the football.

I really don’t see why we haven’t tried to hijack city’s Bouaddi deal. Great young midfield with exactly the attributes we need. At the very least we push up the price they have to pay and we may get him ourselves

I never thought I’d write this but our ability to control games seems to have disappeared along with Mason Mount. He could be the glue that we need in midfield and yet he can’t stay fit. So that leaves us in a pickle unless we buy quickly.

I’m not going to panic over one poor performance in preseason. It’s galling that it came against Amorim but that doesn’t really matter. However, I still believe we need and will get 3 major signings CM, LB and CB. It’s clear where the failings are in our squad.
