I'm sorry maybe I'm biased but I just never saw it for Jenna. I think she's a great repertoire player and dancer but not a great choreographer. I think she married into a position of privilege and I understand that she also spent many years as a troupe member and paid her dues but eh #DWTS

Everybody always points to her Halloween Viennese Waltz with James Hinchcliffe as a breakout Jenna moment and it was but she was pinch-hitting for an injured Sharna, who choreographed the dance. So, like, yeah. #DWTS

She's very much the "Trying to Make Fetch Happen" pro that just I'm not really sure why we're continuing to pretend like she'd still be here if she wasn't married to Val who, believe it or not, new fans, was at one time the most popular male dancer on the show. #DWTS

The judging wasn't unfair. What was unfair was letting any of them do non-ballroom/latin styles while having the premier latin/ballroom judge as a guest. Why would you bring Shirley Ballas out to judge half contemporary dances? #DWTS

It’s not gonna happen but evidently this man, Jamie Davis, is the Democratic nominee for US Senate from Louisiana and the streets are saying the D EV turnout is stronger than most years. It won’t happen. But wouldn’t it be fun if it did?

Literally getting zero media attention but boots on the ground are saying there’s a groundswell. I know nothing about this gentleman but he will surely be a better senator for Louisiana than Julia Letlow.

Sending Pete to Mississippi makes no sense. He polls at like 1% with black voters and we need to turn out black voters. Send Obama, Bill Clinton, even a Wes Moore if you want a newer face.

My hot take is that we should have 3 housewives on air at in every quarter with a total of 12 HWs shows, but with the caveat that they can be traded out, paused, moved, etc. A pause does not have to be a bad thing. It allows the women to live some life, continue or discontinue friendships

You have new cities you can launch in the interim. RHORI’s success, I feel, was due in a not insignificant part to the RHONJ hole that had been created post-pause. Take away OC for a couple years and give us San Diego or Silicon Valley.

Take away RHONY and give us Chicago or Philadelphia. There are so many cities with so many different types of women and stories we could see and I think it’s worthwhile to at least try to pause the ones that aren’t working and give them room to breathe and come back stronger.

Some HWs shows don’t need to exit the rotation because they’re doing fine. I think Potomac is in a great place. I think current Atlanta is in a good place. But that break for Atlanta did its job and it should be common practice to pause, let it breathe, and then come back when things get too stale.

I think full reboots are generally a bad idea on reality tv. I’d rather the show end than dilute the brand introducing an entirely new cast of characters. But giving the women time to do other things and live their lives is a positive thing. Filming on a schedule is dumb especially when

I happen to think FHONY is having a fine-good season, but the fact that they had to reboot it again after only two seasons says everything. With my model, we’re always refreshing the housewives brand. With RHOC 20, we’re seeing that the dynamic is stale and the swings are misses.

If after this season RHOC went away for 3 years, it would give us time to miss it, clamor, and then re-enter them into the rotation.

And get a necessary break from the crucible that is Housewives. The RHONY—>FHONY reboot is a perfect example of what not to do. If you put the OG RHONY girls on ice and then brought some of them back maybe 3-4 years later with some new additions, you’d still have the loyalty of the fans.

News out of the Devens household is devastating but also a reminder that we don’t know these people nor their families so kindness does go a long way. Accountability can be held with compassion. Happy that they detected it early enough that there’s a solid treatment plan.

Against my better judgment I just watched that Newlyweds show. My God everyone involved should be imprisoned. Jamie Lee Curtis should have her Oscar and her Emmy taken away from her. I am offended on behalf of the 22 minutes of my life that was wasted by that monstrosity. 0/10

I don’t know why I’m writing so much tortured poetry and also why I’m sharing it. It’s not because I think it’s particularly good. It’s pretty basic and unremarkable. But it’s kinda just for me so I’m posting bits and pieces that I like. Fully expecting none of you to give a shit, as you shouldn’t

The candles have burned out The house is on fire You left me alone here Just waiting to die Holding out hope that someday you’ll return But once I was told “love’s a lesson to learn” So I wait by the ashes You left at the door The smoke went away Just like you did before

I want to break free From the chains in your eyes, Your devilish charm, and your coquettish sighs The fires not burning The house is but dust The smell of the smoke’s Gone away with the gust

I like to pretend that everything’s fine But yours is the first face still carved in my mind So I guess ‘til the day comes When at last I move on I’ll still be right here Where I’ve been since you’ve gone.

And although I’ve been burned and I’m charred to the bone I’d still let you in if you ever came home. Twenty years is a long time To carry a torch It’s even longer to embed On earth that’s been scorched

My roots have been tainted By the earth that surrounds But still I stay planted On these hallowed grounds They tried to exhume me But still I remain Buried in embers That spell out your name And though I’m a monument To what once was This cold hearted statue Still bleeds human blood

The way they’d be fucking….

Next year is the 20th anniversary of Kid Nation. They should get the cast back together...and do it all over again!

I love Toni Collette. She’s so underrated. Her oeuvre is nearly unmatched and she gets no credit nor attention for her work. Love her. You know what we need to talk more about Toni Collette.

Maggie looks a little like Toni Collette to me. #Survivor

Pitch for Halloweentown 5 is we bring back Kimberly J. Brown and everybody else but her little sister is played by Billie Lourd. You’re welcome, Disney.

For the uncultured, she is the daughter of Carrie Fisher and therefore the granddaughter of Debbie Reynolds who was in the original Halloweentown series.

There’s a reason they wouldn’t put the Housewives brand on that little racist Texas lesbian show. I watch pretty much everything on bravo and I would not watch that if it were the only thing on tv. I would actually avoid it solely based on them platforming Aaryn.

This was actually much harder than I thought but these are the ones I could probably watch today and not feel like I’m watching something cringey.

Thought about this while watching a DCOM. What is your Mount Rushmore for Disney Channel Original Movies? Mine would be the following:

A new Netflix competition series?

Reality TV News/Updates@realitytvfan.bsky.social

The official trailer for Win the Mall, a new competition series that is part shopping spree, part social strategy as players are dropped into a living mall where they’ll fight to outshop, outsmart and outlast. The show premieres Nov. 18 on Netflix. #WinTheMall
