No one hates regular Americans more than Trump and Vance

Q: Why shouldn't Alaskans find it insulting that the administration is suggesting they can't read the word 'incumbent' on their ballot and know to vote for Sen. Sullivan? JD VANCE: People are busy. People have lives. People have jobs.

You ever notice how Cub fans always have to make it about themselves?

Us Cubs fans have done it to you enough, only fair you get to spend the karma points doing it to someone else😘

I mean, I think there is a path for keeping him if Mark wants to make him his next Designated Sunk Cost/Hitter. But let’s be clear eyed about how we got here and it was by letting supposedly irreplaceable guys like Corbin Burnes and Willy Adames go. I think they can do that with William too.

Brewers must resign Contreras. Can’t let him walk.

I believe JP was more skeptical than I was that they would, could or even should be able to do #2, but I think we can pretty unequivocally say that actually did end up being a critical part of the model and they absolutely were able to pull it off over and over again.

Turns out that the answer to #1 was yes, but mostly because the question itself wasn’t a good one. I was generally the one asking that IIRC and Steve would hammer me for assuming they would need to follow the Cubs/Astros model. Turns out they didn’t at all.

Without taking anything away from the MIL pitching, which has been fantastic, three of the top six hitters in the TB lineup tonight are Ryan Vilade, Ben Williamson, and Johnny DeLuca.

There are only two explanations for the NYT's habit of presenting GOP operatives and donors as true swing voters: 1. Their reporters and editors are somehow incapable of running a simple Google searches, showing just a staggering level of journalistic incompetence 2. They want to the GOP to win

One of the best things about having a team doing what the Brewers are doing is all the random stuff like this that pops out of the woodwork.

It’s never been more clear that racism is a scam perpetrated by wealthy elites to convince working people to blame someone other than the wealthy elite.

That's reasonable. Above average accuracy and only a weak favoring of one side over another. I'll take that every time.

So @ewpod.bsky.social has talked about how there are two different types of baseball suffering: being actually bad year after year and getting close but not quite getting the ultimate win. Obviously a team can't do both things at the same time, but the #Brewers have definitely done both since 82.

Of course, I think Cleveland has an even stronger claim on this because they were wretched for most of the 50's to the 80's and have been quite very often since the 90's but have never gotten over the hump. But we've gotta be #2 behind them, right?
