We can imagine a better democracy where voters have more power in Anne Arundel County and across Maryland. Join us for a town hall discussion on reforms like ranked choice voting that are already improving democracy in the U.S. This event is free to the public.

Did You Know? Maryland is RCV-Ready! Better elections for Marylanders is not only possible, we are ready! Major voting equipment vendors are capable of running ranked choice voting elections.

The state uses Election Systems & Software (ES&S) voting equipment. ES&S is RCV-capable -- the equipment can be programmed to create ranked ballots, scan ballots, and store ranked ballot data. Counting votes for an RCV election can be done with federally-tested, open-source tabulation software.

We had a great time talking about democracy and civic engagement! Kudos to Maryland Civic Education Coalition for putting together this summit and bringing together students, teachers, and community leaders. It is great to be part of efforts to foster #civicengagement.
