Sometimes I wonder if I will ever be able to watch this video with the sound on and *NOT* get all choked up about it. Do you think that will ever happen?

My son Sam will be climbing tonight, attempting to reclaim the world record back & win another gold in China. Broadcast links are live now on YouTube. Qualifications: midnight central redact.link/china1 Finals: tomorrow @7am central redact.link/china2

The biggest advancement in AI isn't model size, its improved context. My swarms are multimodal, with workflow-native intelligence, extremely persistent memory, and basically zero latency. This lets me focus on ensuring right information is avail, regardless of my flawed prompts.

This is my son (and yours, too!) holding the Olympic Torch in Livigno, Italy. Sam and I flew out to spend 29 hours at the Olympics because I wanted him to experience the Olympics from the spectator side before he qualifies for Los Angeles 2028. That’s our story are sticking to it!

Someone in the MCO airport has a flipper zero and a mindset I can emphasize with. But there is no way I am joining your network, brah. But you do you.

I have been a supporter of EFF.org pretty much since the beginning. I will continue to do so.

If you were writing it for the first time ever, how would you change RFC1034 and RFC1035 based on your real world experience with DNS in the past decade?

Always a pleasure having @rayredacted.com on the show! Tune in folks!

Do your airBnB's pans look pristine, but everything cooked on it tastes way too garlicky? Multi-tenant RAG/LLMs can be similar: broad semantic queries can leak "residual" context from other tenants. Be careful, though: That weird taste might be from macaroni, but it also might be methyline!

Please register to see if you can get in for the ticket drop for Los Angeles Olympics. The registration is now open at LA 28 <dot> org. Registration is in extreme demand and Sport Climbing tickets will be, too. Shmoocon and Derbycon alumni, start your F5's.

David Lightman was played by Matthew Broderick, and “War Games” catapulted several careers in Hollywood and (eventually) in Hacking. Go watch it. You will be surprised by how good it still is. Here’s a tiny bit of non copyrighted parody slop making fun of me:

Correction: I think apple will actually drop the finale tonight. Check your apple TV's around 21:00 Eastern. (20:58, to be exact)

If you start watching this now, you can bing the whole thing except the finale, which should air this week. It's the probably the best televised show since "Mr. Robot," or at least the first eight parts were. We shall see if the finale is or not.

I don't know Mick Foley personally, nor do I know why decided to take a stand against his employer, with or without several of his colleagues. If you watch documentaries & interviews, Mick seems extremely genuine, empathetic, & kind to others. And I support that.

After a lifetime of trying to have the last word, I beyond honored to have the last word in @joemenn.bsky.social’s new revised edition of Cult of the Dead Cow.

Modern microcontroller based text adventure games (a niche space for sure) have an advantage from those back in the day of ZORK - namely, custom code. Each year I write a new game and each year it needs a few custom behaviors ... like pressing 2 elevator buttons at the same time 😉

I finally gave in and watched the Pluribus pilot. I was extremely skeptical, because the pilot episodes of “Lost” or “Breaking Bad” or “Mr. Robot” were instant classics. “Pluribus” is too. Watch it.

This is fascinating documentary about the backstory. I knew that it had never been performed live, but this definitely changes the story. youtu.be/kXHz4dB1GD8?...

Imagine putting every single thing you have into writing a song, and the very first time perform it live, EVER: This is the reaction you see from your fans: they are weeping, overwhelmed. As are you. Wow. Turn it up. redact dot link slash downstairs redact.link/downstairs

You are not a pessimist or "downer" for struggling w/ hope. Of course trauma survivors struggle w/ hope. We're suspicious of it. We know it can make us vulnerable. We know it can be used against us. But hope, properly understood & leveraged, can also be a powerful recovery tool.

Liquor store clerk: I’m gonna need to see some age verification Me: Prior to V.90 there were two incompatible standards for 56K modems. USRobotics pushed their own “X2”, while Lucent and Rockwell pushed the confusingly named “KFlex” Liquor store clerk: enjoy your purchase.

If you are in Mumbai, come say hello to my youngest child Sam. He climbs stuff. Quickly:

You need to read this entire thread. Trust me.

It's no secret I am a huge fan of @jhaddix.bsky.social But this is the very first time I have ever heard mind-blowing story. youtube.com/shorts/XApvd...

True happiness is flying your favorite guy to Los Angeles to see your favorite band perform live. This is my teenage son Sam, and that is Twenty One Pilots.

Imagine the kindest, most empathetic, generous human being you could ever hope to be. Let’s go become those people. Who’s in?

Large Language Models are not well suited for every task. But helping you understand the meaning of lyrics might quite possibly be one of their most fascinating use cases.
