BREAKING: A federal judge ruled transgender, nonbinary, and intersex people can obtain passports that align with their gender identity while the case against President Trump's executive order proceeds. We will continue the fight to stop this unlawful policy once and for all.

Elon Musk is the biggest, most dangerous data broker in the United States and Republicans in the House and Senate handed him the data on a silver platter.

Senator Ron Wyden@wyden.senate.gov

The accused assassin allegedly used data brokers to track down the Democratic lawmakers he murdered. Congress doesn't need any more proof that selling data to anyone with a credit card is deadly. Every American's safety is at risk until Congress cracks down on data brokers.

NEW: Data broker sites were allegedly used by the Minnesota shooting suspect, authorities claim, highlighting the danger of an industry that freely sells your personal information. @lhn.bsky.social reports www.wired.com/story/minnes...

Please add Iowa MAGA Republican Senator Joni Ernst to this list. Her blind devotion to Elon Musk and the DOGE scam is criminal. She's also up for reelection in 2026. Here's hoping Iowa votes her criminal ass right out of office.

Iowans are mad as hell at Senator Chuck Grassley. His complete disrespect for the work people of Iowa put into paying for their Social Security retirement benefits is insulting. I love a truth speaking out-spoken Iowa mom.

Hi, I'm God. Human beings should not be thrown into prisons without due process. Even Jesus got a hearing.

When Iowa has multiple tornados and we will, and the recovery cost exceeds what Governor Kim Reynolds is willing to provide, Iowans will be SOL. When poor states have no funds for storm victims, those survivors will be SOL too.

BREAKING: 12 states sue Trump in the U.S. Court of International Trade to block his massive tariffs, accusing him of illegally imposing tax hikes on Americans and violating the Constitution.

Another hit to Iowa farmers and growers who grow local, healthy food to feed local, healthy public school students. @SenJoniErnst and @ChuckGrassley don't give a rat's ass about Iowa growers, Iowa business, Iowa schools, or Iowa children. #MAGA sucks

Senator Martin Heinrich@heinrich.senate.gov

Bad for school kids, bad for farmers, and sure as hell won’t “make America healthy again.”

How many times does the U.S. Secretary of Defense get to use an unsecured public platform like Signal to share classified defense information with his wife, his brother, and his personal attorney before Pete Hegseth is fired? Every day Hegseth is in office, the American people are in danger.

Pete Buttigieg@petebuttigieg.bsky.social

*Of course* advance information on US combat operations is classified. Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this. The Secretary is unfit to lead.

Come on out, Iowans of District 02, and meet Rep. Ashley Hinson face to face on Thursday, April 24th, 9:00 am in Mason City at the NIACC Auditorium. Ask some tough questions. Hold Hinson accountable.

Senator Van Hollen’s commitment to the Abrego Garcia case isn’t performative. Wearing an overnight maxi pad on your ear after an “assassination attempt” is performative.

Put aside the lies and the open defiance of the Supreme Court, as well as the cruelty, and ask yourself: who talks like this? This is the *official* account of the *White House* - is it being run by a six year old?

If Joe Biden had intentionally crashed the stock market, created a global economic crisis, and wiped out $10 TRILLION in market value, Speaker Johnson would not be demanding we give him "space." Mike Johnson is a craven coward and the worst kind of bootlicker.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa GOP don't understand what Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion means or they just don't care. But ALL of them, benefit from DEI policies like these. Working against their own best interests, and the interests of their families and friends is just plain dumb.

There are 33m companies in the USA. Only 21k employe 500 or more. And they only make up 23% of workers. Trump and Elon are ignoring the more than 32m entrepreneurs that can't afford to build a new factory or pay tariffs or absorb cancelled contracts.

If a deranged president intentionally destroying the country's economy with a ludicrous obsession (and misunderstanding) of tariffs *isn't* justification for invoking the 25th Amendment, I honestly can't imagine any scenario that would be.

I'm watching CNBC. These anchors are so angry. They really didn't believe he'd do it. They're actually just now, 10 years into this shit, realizing he's a maniac hellbent on revenge and there's no grand plan for the markets. Better late than never but holy shit.

This is a good question for the MAGA Senator who voted to confirm a known alcoholic, unqualified, serial sex abuser to lead our military. This is a question for Senator Joni Ernst.

Gov. Kim Reynolds has zero capacity to address these losses and Joni Ernst and Chuck Grassley have less than zero. Add in the losses from the food program and next will be losses to U of I for any DEI nonsense. It will devastate the entire Eastern Iowa corridor.

This is how it's done. A strong and principled response by WilmerHale to the illegal Executive Order attack - a form of attempted government intimidation declared unconstitutional by a federal judge. This is how to guard the rule of law.

According to a source I have at the CIA, Director Radcliffe lied today under oath. Signal is absolutely not loaded on agency computers. As a matter of fact it’s specifically prohibited as an outside app. Skype is allowed for conference calls but not Signal. He’s lying. @markwarner.bsky.social

On the bright side, the countries formerly known as America's allies now have a really nice excuse to stop sharing information -- that it'll just end up in some drunken cabinet member's cell phone.

Top intelligence committees need to begin an investigation into Pete Hegseth's epic Signal chat mishap. ASAP. There should be televised hearings so all Americans have transparency on how such an enormous breach of national security could take place in first place.

What could possibly go wrong for student loan borrowers, @senjoniernst.bsky.social? This is a ludicrous decision designed to create chaos and strife for borrowers.

Trickle down economics NEVER trickle down, @senjoniernst.bsky.social. Making the lowest income Americans pay MORE to give the highest income Americans tax breaks is straight up sure to cause a blue wave in 2026. Go ahead. Test us, Senator.

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

Under the House GOP’s budget plan, the lowest-income taxpayers would see a LOSS of $1,125. The richest 0.1 percent of taxpayers, on the other hand, would see a more than $180,000 GAIN. This is trickle down economics on steroids.

When Donald Trump lawlessly went after ordinary Americans, Chief Justice John Roberts didn't care. But now that Trump is taking aim at Roberts' fellow judges, Roberts suddenly cares. It's always the same with conservatives, they don't care until something affects them.
