Okay so I've built a new Atlas, this time it lets you explore the conversations on Bluesky over the past 7 days graphically. It should update every ~6 hours and help you navigate the information environment that exists on here. I've learned a LOT about what people do here today... atlas.jazco.dev

So LifeLabs, the only company that does bloodwork here in BC, just got acquired by a US company. Now whenever I log in to see my hormone level results, it has this popup. Concerning that need to know this, and never did before. I don’t trust an American outfit with this info in their database.

It’s probably a good thing that the worst thing I have to complain about my week recovering from bottom surgery is the hospital food Everyone has treated me really well, all the nurses were awesome, I’m healing on track But ohhh this food is abysmal lol. like one step below microwave tv dinner

2025 achievements: - wrapped up Dante’s after almost a decade of events. was a great run - made new friends - explored kink a lot more - got FFS! - kept my business afloat another year 2026 plans: - pay off debt from FFS - bottom surgery! - figure out what comes next after Dante’s - grow business

Great article. I found about aphantasia about 15 years ago. Before that I thought that “picture in your mind” was a metaphor, and didn’t realize it was a thing that others could actually do. I have no “minds eye”, and also no episodic or visual memory - but very good spatial and semantic memory.

In the late 90’s I was on IRC, originally as “anymouse” (shortened from anonymouse to fit in an 8 character limit) Folks assumed I was a mouse though so to make it more dragony I flipped it backwards (Esuomyna) and changed letters until it sounded better (Asunyra) Dumb name that stuck since : P

The "F.U.R.R.I.E.S ACT" bill from Stan Gerdes (R-Smithville) would prohibit "non-human behavior" in Texas schools, including but not limited to: -Litterboxes -Tails -"Leashes, collars, other accessories designed for pets" -"Barking, meowing, hissing, or other animal noises" -"licking oneself"

At TD bank to wire the deposit for my FFS, getting called “sir” the whole time, sure whatever. But the best was at the end: - Is there anything else you need sir? - Yeah can you change my account name from “Miss” to “Ms”? - No problem sir. Okay that’s been changed sir. couldn’t help but laugh : P

2024 achievements: - quit the corporate job, huge pay cut but much happier self employed again - legally changed my name - on waitlist for bottom surgery - hosted a bunch of great events (house/con parties, theme camps at burns) and didn’t throw in the towel despite a lot of adversity - turned 40!
