#HeyCohost Guess it's about time that I start filling out this page. Hey! I'm Ratheronfire. I made a much more fleshed-out post on Cohost, but I'd like to highlight some of the stuff I've been working on:

I had to go to the ER tonight. It's going to be a big hit on my already poor finances as I am currently uninsured and will now have to pause my job hunting as I recover. Anything is greatly appreciated in helping cover the medical bill as well as helping keep me afloat. Thank you ko-fi.com/cckirby

my Mareep is so strong and he loves his Modelos so much

THANK YOU ALL AGAIN for making Mareepathon 2 a truly absurd event to remember. And a hearty congratulations to those who have entered THE HALL OF FAME! I'll probably staple this onto the end of the VOD when it goes up on Youtube or something? But for now, enjoy.

Hi im ebegging. Had to get another nerve block. This should hopefully be the last one that isn't covered but I'm $200 in the hole and im on fixed income so that kind of sucks. Cashapp $segasniff ask if you want any others.

Not sure what's up with the corrupted tiles. It looked fine at one point but after I fixed up some timing issues the intro suddenly started looking off. just how it goes sometimes I guess

Um okay I hate to do this but ever since I had to pay for a bunch of school and visa stuff all at once I've been struggling to cover costs and have been without my prescriptions, including my ADHD meds and HRT for months now. If anyone can help so I can get back on track, I'd appreciate it.

what do you do when you need to ask people for help but you feel immense guilt about it at all moments

when I started writing this NES emulator I probably should've considered that this path would eventually lead to me having to learn what a synthesizer is and how to write one but when have I ever thought things through in advance?

Being the kind of person who can have extreme reactions to uncanny imagery makes it real fun living in the future where a bunch of rich people decided the world should be flooded by The Machine That Produces Weird Uncanny Nightmare Images.

In the Mario Teaches Typing games, Mario never criticizes the player for underperforming and tries to be understanding and supportive. According to Charles Martinet, that was his initiative, as he felt being negative would go against the core principles of Mario's character.

I love Jagex (when they're not siding with anti-LGBTQ weirdos in their community) but they're so much fun to pick on sometimes. Maybe this'll be good! RS3 and OSRS are both in pretty good positions right now IMO so I'm not gonna count them out entirely.

I've never played Deltarune so I'm in the kinda weird position where whenever I happen to hear the soundtrack all I can think is "wow this sounds a lot like those tracks from Stinkoman level 10 that some mysterious anonymous composer made"

The selfish part of my brain is kinda happy to see that Wolverine game getting middling reviews because it means maybe we might get another Ratchet and Clank game in the next decade.

I keep going back and forth on if I love the Zelda artstyle or hate it, but if there's one thing they succeeded at, it's making something so weird that all of us just can't stop talking about it.

Not really interested in picking it up though if I'm being honest. I love the original game to death and I just don't see what this new version brings to the table. maybe if they let you beat the running man and go to the hidden temple where the triforce is hidden under the truck

as someone who enjoys writing code as a hobby (and, you know, as my primary source of income) it's real disheartening to see so many people decide this is the space where it's okay to let the Machine that Lies Badly take over everything unchallenged

semi related, I really don't get the impulse of "wow this AI generated burger or whatever I saw on the street is so gross looking, I should post this online!" no, you really don't have to, I'll take you word for it if it means I don't have to see it too

I feel like you can cleanly divide most millenials' lives into before and after developing a fixation on the credits montage of the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

Anyone know of any good alternatives to RomM? I set it up on my NAS recently thinking it'd be a good way of organizing my games/saves/BIOSes, but judging by their git repository it's quickly becoming more and more AI coded.

I don't really think I want an Ocarina remake but if it happens at least we're sure to get a new BEATULS video for whatever new music is in it.

I feel bad for Star Fox fans for how they constantly get tossed around like this but everything about how that reveal played out was such an all-time Nintendo decision that I can't help but be delighted.

Does anyone have good pointers on re-encoding 4k Blurays? I've had some taking up hard drive space for a while and I'd like to try and trim them down if I can.

That new Mario movie is... fine, I guess. Nothing special, though I'll admit that scene where Nox Decious showed up to reveal he was behind it all and began a twenty minute lightsaber duel with Mario (whom we all know is a descendant of Merlin) was pretty sick, though.

I've been meaning to try and force myself to work on my projects a bit more proactively, so to help with that I'd like to try and make regular progress updates on here.

Starting off small, over the past week or so I added a basic house builder script to Age of Clicking. The player sets placeholder tiles for the walls, and when you hit confirm it auto-generates the walls and floors.

No doors yet, which means the pathfinding will eventually break horribly once the walls are fully constructed. Eventually my goal is to add a sleep mechanic with beds needing to be placed in houses, as well as an overhaul of how the banking system works.

Sorry guys, me and some buddies were messing around and we accidentally killed the Wall of Flesh. Yep, looks like the Crimson is already spreading to Alberta and Paris. got a pretty sick new sword though

A fun experiment: one of my characters I made for a potential show I hope to someday get off the ground, animated like a Pokemon GBC sprite! Uses only 4 colors too, though they might not actually be game boy color compatible. Still fun working within restraints! #madtaz #art #aseprite #pokemon #gen2
