Gutted about the closure of BioWare. I loved the Mass Effect series up until Andromeda, which affronted me so much I made a kinda bitchy sting about EA's negative influence. Looking back now it's visualisation of Bioware being consumed by the yawning void of EA is, tragically, even more prescient.

I am spending inktober painting walls, stripping skirting boards and French polishing antique dressing tables, picking the right curtains will make me a better artist I just know it...

Ripped out a quater of the bathroom panels trying to find the source of the leak, eventually called a plumber who turned one screw behind the sink to stop it... This is the life we lead, the life we chose.

Didn't even make it one year before getting a leak in the house, running out of a light fixture to be extra dramatic, and then to finish the Monday off got jumpscared by a massive spider sardakar abseiling down from the landing onto my face while I searched for more damp... Talk about spooktober.

I accidentally imbibed a claim that some "artist" needed AI because of their disability (dyslexia) to help bring their visions to life... and my god, I raged. Being autistic & dyslexic in school I could barely focus on any mathematical problem on the board... but my exercise book was full of art! 🎨

There needs to be a fundamental change in how we engage with wealth in society and it starts very simply, instead of saying "Wow he's a billionaire!" We need to say "How's he a billionaire?" There is no honest way to accumulate that kind of wealth so the default reaction must be suspicion not awe.

Briefly panicked when @ratheranimated.bsky.social sent a message claiming "the end times are upon us" but I realised he meant the total warhammer update... not one of the 15 real life end times scenarios that have been steadily queuing up this year...

When I started down the road of online artist people would bashfully post; "H-here is my art, y-you can pay me three thrupenny bits if it takes your fancy..." Now these days every other art post is; "I am three days from missing rent again please help..." This is where we are now.

Sometimes I wonder why I get such little engagement online these days despite all the drawing I've done, but then I remember that I do this to myself and always have. It was less of an issue 15 years ago... the pace of life online is so different now.

Finally finished this very silly Rouge Trader comic, I started it at the end of 2024 (hence ugly Heinrix) before I'd even completed the game. (Multiple image format) #Warhammer40k #RougeTrader

We're halfway through prepping new work spaces at the house but I did too much, now I have tendinitis in both arms and no where to do any wet work, its kind of driving me nuts.

I don't know how the country of Hogarth, Gillray and Searle became so apathetic to the practice of drawing, I know we still produce great cartoonists and satirist, but the respect is no longer there, the work is finite and comic scene here just doesn't measure up, I wish we could change it.

Normally these little things would never see the light of day again, but above all else I came online to post about art and I miss doing that.

Somewhere down the line, I got very self conscious about being watched while drawing and its a bit off putting now to sketch in public, even if its just silly doodles. This is why I could never stream, I do not wish to be perceived while working.

I used to always have a little book or scrap of paper in my jacket so I could fill time with random scrawling and sketch little ideas.

These are all quick sketches made with stolen time while I feed the machine.
