Fair comment on Elon Musk mischaracterising Autism and using it as an excuse to be a jerk. Using disability as a shield for bad behaviour is disgusting and disrespectful to people with disabilities. #ElonMusk #Autism #ADHD #AuDHD

Sure, it's still immensely useful to know how to do algebra in my head, but the statement about "not always having a calculator on me" as I write this post from a portable super computer that has at least 3 calculator apps on it still stands.

Apparently caused by cache misses, on long sessions- when the LV cache is evicted, this counts towards your rate limits. Wow, that must suck to be an API customer.

Ok hit the @anthropic.com rate limits just creating a claude code *plan*, wow.

How modern AI works- 3 bullet points generates a document, which is used to generate some slides. Those slides are used to generate some bullet points that some executive agrees with, and they make a decision. Who wrote the original 3 bullet points? #ChatGPT #AI #Skynet

Amazon: "warning! This part will not fit your vehicle!" (It will fit, it's just a cabin air filter and it didn't change between 2024 and 2025) Also Amazon: "would you like to see these other vehicle parts that definitely won't fit your vehicle?"

I find it ironic that this is one of the scenarios the electoral college is meant to protect against, and various states have been slowly working to eliminate that.

Can't help but feel like this is one of the reasons why the Constitution says If a dude in office does an insurrection, don't let that motherfucker hold office again Bc clearly they cannot be trusted with power & control over the levers of government, & they do not care about democratic constraints

Essentially all arguments about software tools devolve to the point where they mirror gun rights? If it allows users to do the wrong thing (and shoot their foot off)? If it's banned because of policy? Or because of legal reasons? etc.

If I had a time machine, I'd go back in time to find my high school teacher and inform him that not only do I have a calculator with me 100% of the time, I have multiple of them and they're all supercomputers by his standards.
