No, Mark Carney isn't just like Stephen Harper on climate and the environment, as some have argued lately. But he's not like Justin Trudeau either. That's a good thing, as far as climate policy is concerned. Today's announcement proves it. #cdnpoli www.nationalobserver.com/2026/05/15/o...

I can‘t figure out why, but I have never seen news stories about how oil rigs hurt whales. Only wind farms do that. And only solar panels have a recycling problem. Gas stations are fine.

Sometimes, what matters most is not the light or the dark, but the in-between moment.

Trump knows if there is a heaven, he won’t be going. He has said it openly. He seems to have accepted that he was put on this earth to wreak havoc. A lot of really scary people see themselves as equalizing on the earth. You have the Saints and you have the Devils
 and they accept their role.

www.friendlyatheist.com/p/franklin-g... It’s not clear if Graham intended for that letter to go public, but he’s said a version of it on social media before. And it all just shows you the moral bankruptcy at the heart of evangelical Christianity.

Work is picking up after the health crisis of last year. Trying to stay politically current, and have a general sense of what is happening in my country/community. But ALSO, the composting worms I bought at the local market, have survived and are making a home in my cupboard.

Good morning to readers; Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands. Today, debris from a Russian drone was found under the monument on the Square of Independence. Russians tried to destroy the place where two revolutions started, as Ukrainians gathered to fight for their freedom.

India has a once-in-a-century opportunity to become a global energy superpower. Not because of oil or gas. Because of solar, wind, storage, and hydrogen. A $1T India New Energy Transition Fund could turn energy imports into energy exports. đŸ§”

Hold on here folks. Sweden has taken a 5-3 lead on Canada after stealing three in the 7th end. We’re now in the final end. Canada has hammer and something brewing. Great finish coming up at the Paralympics.

What is this?!

"Human Rights Watch warns that Israel is deploying white phosphorus over civilian homes in Lebanon. It is highly dangerous, capable of setting buildings ablaze & causing severe, life-threatening burns to human flesh. HRW's Lebanon researcher: 'Israel's actions are unlawful & extremely alarming'"

Well and
also heresy of the highest order. I mean I am not big on anything being heresy. But if you say you are a Christian, and you believe in the Trinity and Jesus is God
 well then
 this is indeed heresy.

Without wishing to sound judgemental, what a vacuous bint.

This is a thought provoking article; pretty basic summary, and it’s not a feel good read.

Charlie Angus@charlieangus104.bsky.social

Trump has never wavered in his threats against Canada. What we learn from Ukraine is that the undermining of sovereignty, psychological psyops, supporting Donbas-style separatists is the playbook to take down a nation. My latest: charlieangus.substack.com/p/canada-is-...

The real damage comes years later, with elevated cancer rates, leukemia clusters, respiratory disease, cardiovascular failure, neurological damage, reproductive issues. This is chemical warfare, with delayed carnage. Worse than radiation sickness. I am ashamed to be American today. 2/2

And
how would she describe Donald Trump? Kash Patel? Borgino? Hegseth?

If the government gets to decide if you have them, they're not human rights.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Stephen Miller: "The human rights that we are gonna protect are not of the savages that torture and rape and murder. The human rights we are going to protect are of the peaceable citizens who have an absolute human right to live in physical safety and security every day of their lives."

Takes a deep breathe. There is a reason that many people who grew up in the evangelical world, are terrified of end times. I repeat to anyone, if you hasten or look forward to “end times”, thinking you will likely be raptured out
you are a gross human being. Evil

Ok, so not a fan of huge ships navigating the islands of BC, but if they are electric tankers, then at least it won’t be oils spill. As long as the panels can be, and will be, easily retrieved if there is an accident?

Climate News@climatenews.bsky.social

Large electric powered container ships are already a reality. When posting about this 2 years ago the so-called “experts” said it is impossible. Can people stop listening to oil and gas “experts” soon?

It’s not just Medicaid funding they’re withholding to MN. It’s food assistance, child care assistance, social services, job training, safety testing, public health, disaster relief. SNAP. Free lunch for kids in school. They hate us for loving our neighbors, and are collectively punishing us for it.

It’s been obvious for quite some time that Pam Bondi must be covering up evidence in the Epstein files which implicates Trump in truly repulsive acts And at this point it’s no longer just a conspiracy theory-it’s actually a legitimate inquiry-to speculate whether the president truly is a pedophile

Rep. Massie:  “I've not seen any arrests from the revelations in the Epstein files
Over two dozen people have resigned, CEOs, members of government worldwide. But I haven't seen any arrests or investigations here in the United States from this DOJ.”

We really don’t. Did I just see Gretzky say he was friends’ with Presidents, but was still a Canadian. Dude. Remember when your Dad used to give you shit for wearing suits that cost $10k? Reminded you what a good suit cost in Canada? Yeah from Canadians
might want to remember that moment eh?

The people running CBC are too stupid to realize real Canadians don't want to see Wayne Gretzky on our TVs.
