In the 24 hours since the Supreme Court's majority ruled to demolish the Voting Rights Act's remaining protections, Louisiana and Tennessee have already signaled that they'll redraw their congressional maps with the clear effect of shutting Black voters out.
He never had the money to pay for the ballroom.
It was always a scam.
We were always going to have to pay for it.
They were just waiting for the right moment to hit us with the bill.
This is now the time.
If you’re an American facing difficult circumstances, you can take comfort from knowing that your president’s top priority Is spending your money to build a gaudy ballroom that no one needs.
Remember that MLK said America suffers not just from "the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people."
"I'm just surprised because I'm like, I thought he was the stupidest guy in the world and he's being even dumber than I expected."
@timmiller.bsky.social and @michaelsteele.bsky.social on Trump doing the one thing he couldn’t afford to do: making people’s lives tangibly worse financially.

Can the media start reporting on his deteriorating mental state now or nah?
McGowan: You're saying 46 Americans died, so we should attack this country. Here at home, 68,000 Americans die a year because they don't have health insurance. So, if we're going to spend billions of dollars on something…
I think we should allow Trump to choose Iran’s next leader as long as the rest of us can choose America’s. Because it’s clearly far too important a job to be left in the hands of Americans.
I am frankly more concerned about the apathy of the American public and even more importantly the lack of leadership in the Democratic Party.
This is not a dress rehearsal. Every single American must speak out against this Facist administration.
The system seems to be extremely flawed. Is this protocol? If not, let’s call it what it is, fraud. Dollar limit? How can a single person sign off on a 220m contract?Any oversight/audits? Who is reviewing line items? Any checks & balances? Anyone else interested in how OUR $$ is being spent/stolen?
What's shameful is: Speaker Johnson is not loyal to the constitution of the United States. He should be investigated for falsely swearing his oath of office
Nah. The real debate in America is between people who know Trump is evil and say so, and the people (like Laura!) who know Trump is corrupt and evil and lie about it for personal profit.

Trump on service members getting killed in his war: “That’s the way it is.”
Trump when his country called for him to serve: I have bone spurs.
Trump’s sons: We’re too busy making billions off daddy’s presidency in the Middle East to waste time as a sucker and loser.
