there are like twenty lessons you could take from the response to Coyote vs. ACME but I'm sure the one executives will take away - if any - will be "we have to send characters to court"
‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ has officially been submitted for consideration for Best Animated Film at the Oscars. (via @nextbestpicture.bsky.social)

every single reporting of this new feature is extremely obnoxious because its fearmongering about a highly requested feature that stems from discussions surrounding troubleshooting and whatnot becoming relegated to closed off discord servers instead of public forums and discussion boards.

NEW: I spoke with current and former EA employees to understand how the latest layoff round played out and the realities of daily life at the U.S. publisher. The short version? EA is controlled by an executive class that "cannot fail, only be failed." Workers, then, will always pay the price.
"I don't want to work at this place anymore:" EA workers decry mismanagement and corporate greed after mass layoffs Current and former EA employees paint a bleak picture of daily life at one of the video game industry's most prominent publishers

NEW VIDEO - Making Sense of RGG Studio Yakuza Kiwami 3 casting a sexual predator was a pretty fucked up thing for them to do. What better time to talk about it than a whole year later? As always, retweets are heavily appreciated! youtu.be/RMY8FkzfdYQ

Look, I know all the reasons we got here, but we really need to start seriously thinking about what we do in a world where The Markets punish whole countries for voting for decency, compassion, and fairness. We must stop pretending the capitalist machine is an objective, value neutral force.
It's very, very telling, I think, that the markets are so concerned about the pro-democracy incumbent winning

Update, we now have a full run-down of the lore, and it's somehow *even wilder*. TLDR; Umamusume are a demi-human race born from the reincarnated souls of dead racehorses in another world, who are powered and have their very existence sustained by the power of love. What the heck.
So in latest developments over in the Umamusume world, the new scenario has done a full lore-dump and creation myth that establishes Uma/Trainer bonds act as a quasi-mystical trait that brings out their latent power. Yes, Umamusume are literally supercharged with the power of love *in-universe.*
I don't think there is anything forcing people to release games for PC through Steam other than the fact that manufacturers have removed disc trays from computers
