Wildwood is pretty much everything you've heard it being called, but my main takeaway is that it has one of the most gripping, epic and certainly most earned final showdowns I've seen in a film in quite some time.

The virgin big Resident Evil channels currently pushing cuck coded AI slop and browser bullshit that will probably give you Malware if you install it. The chad First Aid Spray just having a nice time reviewing a manga adaptation of a CGI film.

🚨 NEW PODCAST Resident Evil Death Island has a manga and we MUST review it. How does it handle the story? Is it worth it just for the incredible artwork? Also, does Rebecca have cake or does she have a whole bakery? Available now on YouTube and all good podcasting apps!

🚨 PODCAST ANNOUNCEMENT Yet more new Resident Evil media in 2026 and we MUST cover it! We take a look at the brand new English release of Resident Evil: Death Island's manga adaptation. πŸ“…Saturday 24th πŸ•–14:30BST / 9:30EST πŸ—ΊFirst Aid Spray Discord server

Spending some of my time off unexpectedly working on my Pokémon Living Dex, which is good, chill and largely quite mindless. Except that most of the 50 Pokémon left out of the 1000+ are missing legendaries, mythicals and Ultra Beasts so the struggle will begin soon 😩 Truly catching 'em all.

On a whim, I watched the original Terminator tonight for the first time in probably 20 years and can I just say that if Michael Biehn showed up out of nowhere telling me he came from the future to save me and looking like that, we would absolutely wind up in a motel room as well.

This is how it feels, as someone who never got that deeply into any of their games, but every single nerd I know loves AT LEAST two of the series they worked on. All my love to those affected by the closure of BioWare; both staff and those whose hearts were touched by their art.

Just finished my last of 8 laser hair removal sessions for my legs and I'm overjoyed. Both that it has made an actual difference and that makes me feel so much more comfortable in my body, but also that it's finally over because it was completely agonising. Suffering for my art (I'm the art πŸ’…πŸ»)

I'm intrigued by Heartworm, but I can definitely recommend Tenebris Somnia for classic survival horror heads!! Fucked up MS-DOS ass game with awesome creature design and live action portions that are super fun (and sometimes shockingly well blocked and shot). Really enjoyed my time with it!

Just a reminder that there’s a Heartworm X Tenebris Somnia bundle right now on Steam, which nets you a 13% discount πŸ‘€ I did some art for the bundle too πŸ’–

The more I hear about how GOOD the Street Fighter movie is, the more I want to see it. And you better believe that the more I hear about how BAD the Street Fighter movie is, the more I want to see it.

So like one problem here is that SNF is basically useless to consumers on its own, so developers are going to increasingly need curators (like game journalists) to point their game out, but consumers also don’t pay attention to SNF coverage, so journalists can’t spare the time to cover any of it.

Aggro Crab: βœ… great company name βœ… largely agreed great games βœ… great stance on genAI

Recorded tomorrow's podcast this morning where I mentioned this trend and how popular it was and how worried I was that companies were going to lean into it and it came TRUE before the pod was even OUT.

Microsoft has formed β€˜Xbox Labs’ in response to the recent explosion of AI-powered mods and ports. β€œThese experiments challenge long-held assumptions about our industry: the tether between software and hardware, the boundary between creation and play". vgc.news/news/asha-sh...

On the rare occasion I pop up for the WhatCulture Gaming podcast I would LOVE to have a fun conversation about good stuff, but they've having me on this week to inevitably talk about this Epic Games AI wet fart bullshit and I'll be reviewing two games that I liked a lot less than I wanted to 😬

Probably the coolest thing he's done next to being a potential Bomberman fan

Majora's Mask's OST got added to Nintendo Music today, and listening to it always brings back all of that wonder. Like, for example, I *wonder* who pitched "the sequel to our big, epic fantasy adventure should be the most horrifying and heavy-hearted story that our company ever produces".

I've been done in by Amazon here

Dexerto@dexerto.bsky.social

Amazon users are discovering a bizarre "About You" page that reveals what the company thinks it knows about them One woman found Amazon had determined she "has flat buttocks"

Having one of those nightmare "nothing goes right and everything may, in fact, be out to get me" days. But I just got my quarterly hormone blocker injection and the nurse who administers it is always such a warm sun beam of a woman and I can instantly feel my blood pressure lowering 🩷🌞

We have ALL been GRINDING behind the scenes at WhatCulture Gaming for the last couple of months and the finish line is coming into sight... or maybe that's a new start line? The big push begins now. Can't wait for y'all to see what's coming.

"JK Rowling is already a billionaire and everyone already knows about Harry Potter, what's the point of boycotting?" Nobody thinks boycotting will bankrupt her. We know she's gonna die rich. We're just asking you to show a shred of solidarity with trans folk. Absolute low bar bare minimum shit.

It's very important to me that Stage Tour has a mixed setlist in terms of obvious hits but also (more importantly for me) lesser known stuff, AND that it gets good support in DLC songs. I got into so many bands through the Rock Band/Guitar Hero days and I want Stage Tour to do the same.

Michael Jackson's Thriller. The monstrous transformations and wicked grin in the video still make me deeply uncomfortable even thinking about them. I got over Vincent's narration/laugh, but I used to enjoy the song then scream "turn it off" at my parents when it got to that part and run upstairs.

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?

True gremlin mode was going to a bowing alley last year for my partner's birthday, and reaching behind one of the TVs to reset their PlayStation Mini, so that I could play the original Resident Evil rather than whatever multiplayer game they had set up. This is the true face of Mischief 😌

Silent Hill Townfall is a worthy addition to the new era of Silent Hill that ultimately shakes out as an average playing experience. It gets so much right - setting, music, writing, thematics, visual language, puzzles - but is let down by frustrating, stale gameplay that stretches on for hours.

They're still not quite off the deepend, because it at least feels like they're keeping it away from anything artistic like asset generation. But for how long? Also I dunno, from an outside perspective... Capcom are known for releasing functional games on day 1. Are we gonna get some AI coded jank?
