Australian composer Ben Carey spent two years working with analogue synthesisers, tape machines and laboratory electronics for 'INVENTIONS', recording in studios from Sydney to New York and leaving plenty of room for unexpected discoveries.

Toronto’s Ayal Senior has made a lovely new record with ‘Yutori’, bringing together 12-string blues and more experimental ideas, partly inspired by his travels in Japan and recorded with friends back home, with Sandro Perri producing.

Las Robertas’ ‘All We Need is Now’ folds ’60s psychedelia into the hazier end of ’90s alternative rock and shoegaze. The Costa Rican band sound bright and expansive throughout, with fuzz, melody and plenty of space… (Kanine Records / Spinda Records)
