[dems playing soccer, scoring own goals repeatedly]: ohhh so you'd prefer if hitler scored the goal instead? you imbecile. you fucking moron

today i observed the ecliptic plane, the flat disc on which all the planets orbit the sun. i could see the angle it bisected the sky, and sense the canted skew of the Earth relative to the system

strange how if you contextualize yourself on the scale of the solar system, the night sky ceases to be some starry dome encasing the earth, and becomes instead an infinite drop off—the entire Earth beneath you nothing more than the bit of precipice rock at the cliff's edge

i can't look at posts anymore. all posts trigger me. please do not show me posts. i am trying to figure out how to block posts from my phone

within any art medium, somewhere, patterned into the syntax of its language, lies a silent message; a sublime utterance spoken by some unseen interlocutor. the charge on the “artist” is to discover it. in imagery, writing, rhythm, etc—to pour over the wall of glyphs, and find God in it

engagement with artistic work too frequently centers how *therapeutic* it can be—itself a subjective criteria. if it helps someone through a depressive episode, its “good”, to them, no matter the critique. art becomes deeply subjective, personal, lonely, and (ultimately) solipsistic.

the implicit premise, that artistic output derives its value from its therapeutic impact, is taken for granted but imo should be rejected. idc if that song restored your bond with your mom. go to therapy.

bc of this, artistic works do have non-subjective merit, as objective as the merit inherent in discovery. art which increments knowledge, art which takes the pallet of known perceivable colors, and somehow, conjures another, has objective merit over artistic output that does not

when women take long in the shower and say it’s bc theyre taking an “everything shower”, they are lying. they are not taking an everything shower. they are shopping
