Trade: The Colts are sending eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks, per Adam Schefter and me. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. A Colts legend goes to the champs.

Watching Halloween movies and I have to say the most annoying trope in modern horror is making everything dark. Like does no one have proper lighting in there houses anymore is it always pitch black.

Non video game thing, been working on a boron-nitride hybrid suit spacesuit design. It’s interesting to think about and develop it will never go anywhere as I’m a nobody but still fun to work through. Increasing radiation protection while also thining the suit. #science

@midimyers.com great article on attachment with characters and story. I finally got around to playing Life is Strange and loved it and I’m kind of stuck on it as well so instead of playing Fortunes weave I’m playing Double Exposure because I still want to know what happens to them after the game.

This would be amazing if we got it. Wish I could help with the project if it happens @nightdivestudios.bsky.social I covered it in both books and interviewed for it. I would also love to see the N64 version that was almost complete put on as a bonus feature if it could be dug out of the Nintendo

Today marks 25 years since the launch of Nintendo GameCube, a console that provided one of the company's most joyous eras of console gaming — even if it felt underappreciated at the time. https://bit.ly/4h0ICYp

September 10th is globally significant as World Suicide Prevention Day, an annual observance organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention and endorsed by the WHO to promote global awareness and action to prevent suicide. Reach out, listen, and seek help 😔

Finally! Go play it. I covered it in my second book with interviews with Kev Bayliss and @therealkrystlfox.bsky.social very underappreciated and underrated game!

Underappreciated GameCube classic Star Fox Adventures will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 today, as part of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. https://bit.ly/4xL6BlL

Been playing for about an hour and great game so far, instantly one of the best looking games on the GBC. Controls are good and only having 2 buttons doesn’t compromise anything from a standard Metroidvania. Only negatives so far is a couple of glitches but nothing game breaking.

Just got the new Dracula game in the mail from @incube8games.bsky.social can’t wait to play it. An officially licensed Dracula game for the GBC.

Wahoo my HVAC system needs to be replaced, it’s of course a commercial unit they put into my house for some reason so now it’s going to cost a fortune to replace. Getting quotes next week so probably be posting and selling some of my collection. First up will probably be my CD-I and two Zelda games.

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite series. I can’t tell you how many times I got lost in Zebes in the original as a kid and talked about who Justin Bailey was on the bus and why there was a passwords named after him 🤣

I can never pick between super and prime which I like the most but for quick fun Zero mission is my go to. Easy but I just have fun on every run through.

You "finish" writing a book like 37 times before it is actually done, and each round is absolute hell

Katie Mack@astrokatie.com

Writing a book is so weird because before it’s released there are half a dozen REALLY IMPORTANT DEADLINES for drafts & edits and each completely consumes you & is impossible to explain. “I just spent 72 hours locked in a room doing my copy edit review; I forgot what the sky looks like” “…congrats?”

Finaly beat Last Remnant. Deep battle system, Saga type leveling system with an okay story. Very uneven difficulty though that seems to force you to have to grind a lot.

The chintzy-looking M64 clone console of the N64 by a company named ModRetro has been released, I think, I don't pay attention that closely to shit. But as the great @frankcifaldi.bsky.social posted before, it is our civic duty to push back against this company and shun ANYONE who doesn't.

Tried the Apollo Peper last dab hot sauce, definitely a slow burn but really not as hot as I was expecting. The medium we got from them Los Calientes Rojo wasn’t very hot but I really liked the flavor.

Think I’m done with Star Fox for now, played a bunch of challenges for medals on every level on normal. It’s a very good remake. Now back to back log. Last Remnant up next. Haven’t played it before what do you guess think of it ?
