Can you afford to release your album on vinyl? I work for a small vinyl pressing plant, our customers are mostly independent artists doing small-run pressings. My job is advising people on how it all works. Here's a short thread outlining the very basic costs of pressing and releasing an album:

If you "buy" music, tv, movies etc but they are hosted on a streaming platform - you do not really own them, you're just renting access for the time being. Buy DVDs, records, tapes, CDs. Physical media forever.

PlayStation is deleting over 500 purchased movies from its customers' accounts 🎞️ • Includes films like 'Terminator 2', 'Rambo', 'Apocalypse Now', 'Hot Fuzz', and 'Moonlight' • No mention of refunds • Comes after a licensing deal ended

Here's some advice for musicians: don't use AI slop engagement bait replies to "build your brand" it'll just make everyone hate you. The absolute state of these fuds 🤮

303 Day Acid is such a perfect celebration of the sound! The 303 really brings that raw, undeniable energy. What’s your favorite part of creating with that iconic sound?

I've been doing I♥️Acid at Berkeley Suite in Glasgow for about 5 years now. It's one of my favourite clubs ever. But usually I just play support / warm up for guests that changes next month. on Fri 13th march I'm doing the first ever Posthuman open-til-close set. ra.co/events/2370286

It gives me a chance to really take people on a journey through acid - from deep chuggy underground cuts through acid house, into techno, electro, and ending up at rave & breaks I'm actually shiteing it a little bit that it is hubris doing it with no guests, and nobody will buy tickets 😅

if you try to talk to someone who isn't terminally online about the Epstein Files right now - you will sound like a total conspiracy theory loon. Brexit, Mossad, Culture War, Qanon, 4chan, Trump, Crypto, Putin, etc. all connected by a pedophile ring on a Caribbean island. But it's real. All of it 🤯

about 10 years ago i did the FACT Mag "Against the Clock" challenge, where you have to write a song from scratch in under 10 mins I found out from the crew that most artists got several attempts - one act took EIGHT tries - to get it right I had two, cos on my first go a cable fell out 1 min in!

but sadly, the comments were deleted after a later "against the Clock" video featuring a girl (who in all honesty was pretty embarrassingly inept) which as you can imagine brought in loads of sneering nasty, sexist replies from men - so they removed comments on all their videos, including mine :(

When the video was first uploaded, comments were live. There was loads of great chat with people asking questions - and me replying - about my weird producing methods/setup, and just general banter about acid. Also I sneezed really loudly at one point and there was a bunch of jokes about that
