I've never liked ANY automatic effects when it's at all feasible to do a manual one. Things like automatic tweens, particle effects, pixel shaders. I hate those. I'd rather have a "stiffer" manual effect than a "smoother" automatic one. So naturally I LOATHE degeneration.
