love 2 describe a potential improvement to a niche algorithm only via: * uncommented source code * private email thread * lobste.rs comment single paragraph w/ context, many w/o, too boring to write a blog post about, the main other literature on the subject seems to be more [β¦]
i am doing some things incredibly wrong: 1. "Typescript" but it's just JSDoc comments but it still reports errors with `tsc` 2. on a custom Javascript runtime (BoaJS + my incremental extensions, also typed) 3. with absolutely no third-party JS packages (i wrote a small templating library [β¦]

"Wayne" himself noted that you'd think someone else would have checked this before be did!, which points to a process problem where there's no-one who's specifically responsible for running basic double-checks against widely-trusted certificates in general for issues like trivially recoverable [β¦]

using #spacemacs with #rust and i am running into a huge issue: the virtual text implementation is very glitchy, basically unusable unfortunately... like it makes lines shift around constantly and write weird partial updates that make my cursor seem in the wrong place when i am editing test [β¦]
RE: https://social.treehouse.systems/@PolyWolf/117176756517667165 nvm we're back? https://github.com/neovim/neovim.github.io/pull/504 more of a "said 'fuck you' to annoying internet commenters and then it blew out of proportion" than any real allegiance to DHH? or at the very least was talked [β¦]
still, the choice between "lead developers who currently defend DHH" and "lead developers who may have tolerated RMS in the past" is not quite so obvious
apropos of Events im going to try to learn spacemacs. of all the modal editors it might be the best long-term bet? * Kakoune & Helix are much too small to have broad language/plugin support. I might not _need_ broad support ("just" LSP, git, file find/search, tabs/splits) but it certainly is [β¦]

a thing that seems to set me and my manager apart is, if i want to know the answer to something, my first instinct is to consult the code, and his is to find someone to ask a question to this is going to be a hard habit to break. "value your time as equal to others, not less than" is hard [β¦]
