City Council elections are TOUGH. Every candidate is listed as "nonpartisan" but digging deeper, two are endorsed by Democrat Women & one I like by Coastal Bend Coalition. So I guess I'm ready for birthday voting on Thursday. All the other races are Dem/GOP so that's easier.

Three nights in a row of pho-spiced bone broth over raw bean sprouts & I can FEEL the cleanse! Rejuvenating! Same with extra spicy menudo over raw cabbage. I think it's the combination of collagen & soluble veggie fiber. My body really CRAVES it sometimes. 😋

One of the things I do on my bourbon runs is swing by the Moore Plaza HEB on my way home & pick up enough ice cream to last till the next one. I get all my OTHER groceries delivered weekly, but ice cream MELTS. Anyway they also had THESE on sale for $15.96, in store. I bought TWO! 🤭

I've kept frozen shrimp on hand as a household staple for years now, because I cook a lot of stir fry, ramen & pasta type dishes. It's SO easy to just quick thaw a few ginormous shrimp like these in cold water while I'm doing the rest of the prep.

This is my "quickie pho" recipe---I'm perfectly capable of making pho from scratch, but you roast the bones, load the crockpot, spend 24 hours, get 3 bowls of pho. There's easier ways! 🤭 Now I just simmer beef bone broth with pho spices (ginger root, anise, etc) with a TB of fish sauce. Yummy. 😋
