Got my school picture back today. It’s pretty bad, though my hair looks thick and luxurious. But. It’s embarrassingly, I’m wearing the same shirt.

I’ve been interacting with a new subscriber on YouTube. He has a similar channel so we are trying to help each other out. I just found out, he thought I was like 14 or 15 and not in my 40s. He thought the 9yo was my little brother and not my son. I guess I still think like I’m 17, so it’s OK.

Putting the cart WAY before the horse… If our YouTube channel starts earning money, what do you think is a fair split between my son and I? It’s my equipment, I maintain the channel, I edit the videos, and I take part in most of them. He… is the talented one.

My 13yo daughter, doing the dishes and making fun of me and my 9yo son and how scared we are going to be at the haunted house we are going to… I snuck yo behind her and scared her so bad she spilled coffee all over the place. Father of the year.

Got a text message about the democrat running for congress in my district. In this unsolicited text message, “Maeve” asks if I’ve seen this new video in which, “his neighbor says she’s known him since 8th grade, and he is a liar.” I know all republicans are pathetic losers, but this takes the cake.

Pretty proud of my family. It has been a week since I last took a bag of garbage down to the bin, and the new one is not even half full yet. Recycling bag is almost full, but I haven’t taken that one down in a week either.

I find it hilarious that Anthony Constantino is now campaigning on, “my company didn’t SELL the anti-cop* stickers, we just printed them.” (*and no mention of the antisemetic ones.)

Wasn’t so sure about today, and it DID get off to a rough start, but between one student telling me she threw away her maga hat, and a bunch of other students joining my 9yo’s Geometry Dash live stream, I’m starting to feel optimistic about the future.

I just had the best, most encouraging conversation with a small group of students. The long and short of it was, a girl from a very conservative family has realized that some of her best friends are black and/or gay and/or immigrants. She recently threw her Trump hat in the garbage.

Gave a lesson in my class today about dealing with spam callers. I was doing a 2FA thing to sign onto my computer (which shut off when I needed it) and I got a call. I answered, and when the person started talking, I said, “it’s going to sound like I’m hanging up but I want you to keep talking.”

Just saw a car with a “trump2024” sticker above a labor union sticker. How do such people exist? That’s like saying you supported Nazi Germany AND the allied forces during WWII.

Imagine writing “Space Truckin’” and it’s only your second best song about driving with an astronomical term in the title.

And just set a new personal best on the best Druns Rock song, “Your Lilly.” I am killing it a video games today.

Just beat my first Geometry Dash Insane Demon with my son. (He does the hard part.). Been awhile since I felt so accomplished.

While searching for images of myself online (of which there are none) I discovered that a hard copy of my book, which sold for $4.99 USD, is now for sale on Abe Books for £7.80. I think this means I HAVE made it,

I know jus last week I was talking about feeding a family of 4 for $28 a day to a not all that difficult or radical, but yeesh prices have gotten out of control. The cost of coffee has literally doubled in 18 months. (But I did still keep my weekly bill to $156, so…)

I know food is expensive, but that’s about what I spend on my family of four and I don’t put a ton of thought into saving every penny.

Do you think it’s better for a 13 year old to: A). Do as many things as possible and have something going on at least 5 days a week? B). Have a few things going on, but still have some down time that happens not during the weekend.

Downside of doing everything in my power to avoid allowing my data to be accessed by Google et al: The ads I get are no longer personalized. I don’t have a dog. And I am vehemently anti-AI. Your AI dog ad is completely lost on me.

I forget which of my mutuals I was discussing unconventional game inputs with, but this is the person I was talking about who can mash a mean DDR pad.
