Thanks for highlighting this. It’s worth also flagging that beyond the immediate £22bn allocated, the Gov expects the total cost of #CCS to 2050 to run to many hundreds of billions. Partly public, partly private - but all paid by us. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/11/r...
Our friends at @recommon.org have shared that national and international pressure on ENI has resulted in the company stating that it "does not plan to be involved in activities in [Palestine] in the future" 🎉🍉 www.recommon.org/en/eni-does-...
This may result in ENI withdrawing from the consortium that was awarded unlawful exploration licenses offshore Gaza in 2023. Let's keep putting pressure on ENI to review its position on its merger agreement with Ithaca Energy, find out more from @recommon.org 👇 www.recommon.org/en/eni-does-...

🚨New survey finds oil & gas workers want decisive action from the UK government, Scottish government and industry to support the transition – but they aren’t getting it. Here’s what workers want: 🧵 www.heraldscotland.com/opinion/2547...
Both the UK and Scottish govts need to start listening to workers, and not just the lobbying of oil and gas bosses. Workers want a fairer energy system. Governments need to start listening to them. Read the full survey 👉 www.platformlondon.org/transition

Working class communities have a long history of anti racist solidarity. Billionaires poison everything. Sucking up wealth, hollowing out communities, spreading poverty, division and hatred. It’s time to tax the rich and repair our society. inews.co.uk/news/racism-...

⚡☀️ Behind the world’s largest renewable energy park in Gujarat lies a troubling story: Migrant workers, drawn by promises of fair pay and decent conditions, report unpaid wages, exhausting hours & dangerous heat. A green transition can’t come at the cost of worker rights 🌍✊
We're really excited to see @cescotland.bsky.social's manifesto recommendations for the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections! 👏 Scotland deserves an energy system that serves and benefits local communities - not just corporations' profits. 🌱 👉 Read the manifesto: communityenergy.scot/manifesto-fo...

Our first ask is a target: 🎯 1GW of community-owned energy by 2030. That's 10x higher than now. Ambitious? Yes, but achievable. @rescoop.eu say "In EU countries with such goals in place, clear policy signals and investor confidence has led to significant growth of the community energy movement.”
📣We’ve published our manifesto recommendations for the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections! It’s clear that our energy system isn’t working for ordinary people. Communities must have more influence, ownership and feel more benefit from our energy system. 👀👉 communityenergy.scot/manifesto-fo...

Outrageous. Britain is being sued in a corporate court, for stopping the Cumbria coal mine. We’ve been saying for years that this system of corporate courts (ISDS) is an obstacle to climate action and democratic politics. Now it couldn’t be clearer
