Hi! My name is Amy! Looking for friends! Follow me if you like: ✧ Gamedev ✧ Blender ✧ The entire PS1 aesthetic ✧ Being cozy ✧ Everything horror ✧ Silent Hill ✧ Resident Evil ✧ Souls, Bloodborne & Sekiro ✧ Final Fantasy ✧ Psychology ✧ Existential horrors of the mind keep you up at night ✧ Dogs

Only halfway through - but Silent Hill: Townfall has really impressed me so far! I wasn't feeling the directions they took F but this one seems like we're so back.

I'm currently figuring out the monster AI for my survival horror game 🐇 I want the combat to feel very classic but also have some nice modern touches to it... Currently im at a point that can best be described as jank Onimusha 1. I expect lots of iterations as I go... I will show you soon!

Going through the Grace sections of Resi Requiem honestly has been one of the most engaging experiences I've had in a video game in years. They really nailed the cause and effect, decision making and constant planning required for top tier survival horror. Absolutely 10/10.

As the annoying Silent Hill know-it-all of the group. It's really cool that they named the town after me in Townfall. I'm honoured!

Farfield is currently at the stage where I'm working really hard on it, hours and hours each day. But it's all backend systems that don't really show on videos. a.k.a. The worst part because I can't spam you all about it.

Every survival horror game needs a save room ritual! Resi has typewriters and tape recorders, Silent Hill has the red square and notepads. In Farfield, saving means losing yourself in the static 📺

We need to reclaim networking as the act of making friends without expecting to "get something" out of it. I made a bunch of friends in game Dev circles like 8 years ago through "networking" and now they're stuck with me forever. Also, hi new friends!

Talking to one of these types at a con who asked how I 'got in' with so many 'famous writers' who I'd been talking to and I said "we made friends before anyone knew who we were decades ago by striking up interesting conversations and enjoying each other's company" and he kept re-asking the question.

If the game you're making is conceptually similar to another game you like, that shouldn't really stop you. It stopped me for years. I never finished the game I really wanted to make 6 years ago because of it, and that sucked. I've since seen very similar games to mine that are wildly successful

I know several of you thought I was dead, I'm not. Spooky month seems like a good time for me to arise. Allow me to catch you up: Still working on the PSX Horror game I talked about Silent Hill F is great and we are SO back Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles is my new best friend
