Like most people, I am almost always looking for "affordable SEO solutions". My preferred method for finding these is looking in my spam folder, because that is where I know I will find reputable organisations that I can trust.

Help needed for a student. They are looking for any recent MG novel that opens not with the main character but with an adult. Like Rooftoppers, but more recent. Any ideas? RT very welcome! #ukkidlit

Many years ago, i had a serious mental health crisis and was hospitalised for it. The care was actually really good and that week on a womens ward did in fact save my life. Had i been treated as the nhs now says i should be, i would have in fact, only been pushed deeper into my suicidal crisis

Ok, this is frustrating. Something has changed that is preventing pitest from releasing. It's something environmental, outside of the code/release script itself (confirmed by attempting to re-release the last successful release). Potential culprits are: * Sonatype/maven central * Github Actions

The uploaded bundle is appearing as empty. Running the build locally, the bundle looks fine. I know there have been changes on the Sonatype side to introduce limits, but that doesn't really fit with an empty bundle. This stuff is painful to debug.

I am not yet certain, but I might be being prevented from doing things because I am *too* popular. This is not a situation I have encountered before, or ever expected to encounter. (it is also possible that the issue is simply that I have done something stupid, place your bets).

Disability doesn’t care how old you are. Specialist food is no cheaper if you’re 19. Employers don’t lose their prejudice if you’re 21. This is blatant intergenerational inequality from Labour. Younger disabled people of all severities deserve better. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Was about to hit e-bay to find an old passively cooled video card as the fan on my current one was getting annoying. Instead I've blown the dust out of the existing one and applied some new thermal paste. Temp has dropped by a massive 20c and the fan is now silent.

FLEDGLING Edinburgh launch at @typewronger.bsky.social This book is a beautiful, funny mosiac of life growing up under the bizarre expectations of masculinity. I'm looking forward to chatting with Josh this Thursday. Join us for free: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fledgling-...

I've not written a game since I was a kid. So far this one seems to be going well, which suggests I am going to discover a reason I have to throw it away tomorrow morning.

It seems there is a lot about George Formby that I don't know. I now feel good about having quite liked him when I was a kid in the we-only-have-3-channels-so-have-to-watch-whats-on era.

Sam Whyte@samwhyte.bsky.social

George Formby refused to perform to a segregated audience in apartheid South Africa. Just something to think about.

Whenever someone I don't know uses the phrase "fellow writers" I find myself tensing because 7 times out of 10 it seems to mean "I have been generating slop with chatgpt and now demand that you respect me".

Started watching Blake's 7 for the first time. In the first two episodes Terry Nation kills a surprising number of people who looked like the might have become characters. Good to know that it will somehow all work out happily in the end.

Date yourself with a snap of your first ever computer... Arguably it was the ZX81 I had for three months, but realistically the first one I really *used* was the Amstrad PCW8256.

Picking up my WIP for the first time in a while, and I still think the opening line is pretty decent. Three weeks before the end of the world, the sea was calm and still. #ukkidlit
